Hey guys,

TCL back with another newb question. I have an ez cloner 30 site and I decided to let one of the girls sit in there for 2 weeks. Well I went to transplant her into the soil and within minutes she is already wilting... what can I do to save her? I really really need to keep this girl LOL.

Any help is appreciated, I wish I could have them page my phone when the answers arrive. I am basically calling 911 guys please save the day!

I'll let more of a pro chime in to correct me if i'm wrong
So you basically went from hydro to soil? if I understood right
you may have to spray her until she develops soil roots.... I am pretty sure i read somewhere depending on the need the plants roots will develop different and i think the roots submerged in water for their whole lives will die when buried in dirt it may take a week or so to bounce back.
i have always grown in dirt so this is totally second hand information :)

Thank you bro, I totally understand the stress of it all I just didn't realize that by growing the roots out that they would struggle more.

I hope you have something to cover her. Anything that is transparent will be sufficient, you need to keep as much humidity around her as possible.

Will a turkey bag do? if I cover her in a turkey bag and poke holes and spray it?

She doesn't look like shes going to make it, but in the morning she may be a little more perked up. I threw a bag around her and sprayed the shit out of it. Poked some air holes big enough for three or four fingers and am now praying.

I have talked to her nice all day :( I don't know why she not likin me.

Soil is dripping wet, I keep my water aerated so I just give it a little bit every once in a while hoping to the weed gods that she will get more oxygen to her.

When I first started I took my plant from a hydro set up where the roots just sit in aerated water and put it into soil. It worked, but at first it definitely stressed her, I thought she was dieing out for a week or more but she came back, was awfully tall though since the stress killed the bottom of the plant. I don't know much about your problem though:/ all I can say is good luck and don't try putting it back.

Also I had the room very humid and kept spraying the leaves for the first 3 days or so when they dried up

First of all I am "THE" couchlock. hahahhaha

I use an aero cloner exclusively and never experienced wilt when transplanting. Transplanting is one of the most stressful times in a plants life and can cause such symptoms. Healthy plants should bounce back in a day, two at most. I've transplanted rooted clones with foot long roots with absolutely no issues so time in the cloner shouldn't be the problem either. Spraying the leaves isn't needed since the clones have roots. Plants absorb nutrients better through the leaves but water through the roots. Don't cover rooted clones either. Humidity should be between 50-60% in the veg room.
