Time to begin a new grow. I value ur input.

My critical jack from dinafem hasnt went well. Had a light leak...(sorry ass mistake for a mj growing vet if u ask me) stunted growth...prolly wont b very good but on the + side it didnt hermie. (dinafem is pretty stable)

Anyway.

I wanna know what i should do about this next grow. I have 50+ strains but i decided since i have 3 3packs im gonna grow 1 of each: 1 sweet seeds afghani s1. 1 mandala fruitylicious 1 mandala california dream.

I was thinking id grow them all in 1gal grow bags or in 3 gal pots filled with only 2 gal of soil each. Not sure what ud suggest.

For lighting i plan on goin with 1 150w and a 2ft 4bulb t5 turned on its side.

Veg is gonna be 3wks if i use 1 gal grow bags and 4 or 4 1/2 wks if i use 2 gal of soil per plant.

What configuration should i go with? 3 plants? 4 plants? 1 gal pots? 2? What?

I always value the members of this community's opinion so chime in.





Also. I intend in germinating the mandala beans in paper towels like i germ all my beans. Anyone germ mandala beans like this? (since.mandala suggests a diff method)

How big is your space?

150W + T5 is not a lot of light. Depending upon your results last time, I would go with two plants in 3 gal pots filled up to top!

Last time i grew a critcal jack in a 3 gal pot. Vegged 6 wks. Top/lst/etc.

It grew and grew. Had a light leak and that did me in.

It woulda been better w/o the leak.

Im going for a shorter veg time. Im thinking 3 wks max the more i think about it. I wanna run more than 1,strain.

Yep, I hear you. I too like the variety!

Sounds like you have 1 plant last grow. I would still recommend 2 plants in 3 gal pots. You could try more, but you may want ramp up slowly.
Your 150W is HID? I don't know how big your grow area is, but 2+ plants would benefit from a larger lamp.

My current grow is 2 plants/1 strain under 400W HPS. For my next grow, I am planning on 2 plants/2 strains. I got clones from last grow & going to add another strain through seed. Sounds like you are already flowering, but you still could take a clone of the CJ. I like the idea of 'working' one strain to get the right pheno, get familiar with how the plant grows, and trying to fill some jars!

Yeah dont expect much from a 150 watt, go at least 400 watt. It takes a pretty large light leak to cause problems with your plants.

Im using the 150w and t5 because.this is a semi-stealth grow. My roomate doesnt approve of mj so i aim to keep my electric bill lower so they do not suspect anything. I actually own 2 600w hps and a 4ft 6bulb t5.

By using the 150 and 2 ft 4 bulb t5 i keep the bill low and the heat is pretty much non- existent so they dont even hear my fans running.

Ive been growing stealth for about a yr now.

I miss my 1800+ watts of lights.


I wanna run gear i have duplicates of to test the waters on this next grow so im reduced to these options:
Mandala fruitylicious
Mandala california dream
Sweet seeds sweet afghani.s1

Which two should i run first? i have 3 beans of each.

IMO-- check the seeds stats and go with plants that are about the same size-- and do some LSTing on them-- if they are kept the same height- the light does a better job by being as close to the canopy of all the plants as possible-- 2-3 different heights means the shortest plant gets "shorted" on light....

also-look at the genetics and their water/nute needs... if they are similar it is way easier to care for them than it is remembering that "The Lemon haze only gets 1/2 tsp, the Sharksbreath gets 1.5 tsp and the Cannadential gets 1tsp plus extra Cal Mag.."

The less confusion the better!
