Like stated above, check the trichs as brown hairs don't mean shit when it comes to judging if the plant is ripe for the pickn. You also want to check the base of the bud and not the top. And if you like like a more narcotic affect then let them go until all trichs are amber.

looks to me like it needs more time! def check the trichs though, you can get a mag scope at radio shack for like 20 bucks

yes get the mag scope, best results are usually a week passed breeder recommendations, and or when it really really looks ready to chop, give it another week

looks beautiful bro! i've got less than a week left and i've been checking the trichs everyday, still mostly clear, some cloudy, so i've got more time. its easy, just trim a small bif of leaf from the bottom of a bud, then you can work with it easier withough worrying bout damaging her.

very nice, i too have that 60-100x and my back kills me when im trying to put it in focus, trichs are best to tell and u can have control of what type of high u want, she looks marvelous, i would trim a large fan leave here and there, just like 2-3 to get light to some more of your better buds in the middle, dont go crazy please

I heard that its not good to trim fan leaves at all, Ive been reading Uncle Ben's thread, and from what Ive read, you actually reduce the amount of yield that your going to get. I do alot of tucking, and im planning to harvest in stages. Chop off all the top buds first, and keep flowering the bottom buds.

Plant looks good. I'm not a firm believer of flushing at the end unless the plant looks like it needs it, and I think yours does as it is a tad too green and looks like it's a little locked up. Flush that bitch!

yes, but your plants already have the bud mass, they arent gonna get much bigger, its also about preference too, but a couple fan leaves would open up bud sights to ripen

As everyone said....check the trichs. Another thing that I didn't see anyone mention was that the cola and side branch tops are usually ready first, so when they are it's usually a good idea to chop those first and then let the lower buds mature a couple of days longer. You don't have to but I usually do. I also agree with easing up on the nutrients. If they start to die and the buds don't look ready just give them a little molassis for energy. Everyone has their own flushing schedule so you'll have to decide what you want to do, but I usually only flush twice in the last week and that works good for me. I also decrease the amount of nutrients more and more during the last couple of weeks though so I don't have as much to flush out.

Yeah, Ive already stoped giving it the foxfarm nutes, and now its just been plain water, or water and molassas for the last 2 or 3 waterings. Though I dont really want to flush all the nutrients out because I want the bottom buds to still grow when I decide to cut the top buds.

If you don't flush for the last 10 days or so before you harvest anything (even the tops) they will probably be harsh, crackle when burned, burn too fast, too hot, and taste like the left side of a donkey's rear.

I would recommend flushing it and during the last 10 days or so before you harvest the tops only water + molasses, then after you harvest them, add some nutes and develop the bottom buds.

Then flush them and give them the 10 day cycle again before you harvest them.

**Sounds like a bit of a pain** but I think you'll be happy.

Trust me you do NOT want fertilizer tasting buds, I'm smoking some of a friends crop right now.
He didn't flush the last 10 days I burn the bowl out in like 2 hits, cause it refuses to go out from all the extra nitrogen in the dried bud. He did good as far as it's heavy hitting knock your ass into next week bud, but tastes like shit.:spew:

With the way I do (and I'm on my 7th grow), I have never had harsh buds. It tastes great. Also, if it's burning that fast it's because of the drying and curing process...or lack there of. If you had enough nitrogen to cause the buds to burn that quick I would think that all the fan leaves and buds would have been dead before harvest. And the heavy hitting bud had to do with genetics more than your friends growing technique.
