i have 10 plants that i have growing outside. they are a little over a foot or so tall (8 wks). they are on their 6th set of leaves. they just started getting their secondary leaves, near the stem. my question is: should i bring them in now to start flowering or should i leave them out longer in veg?? i know the weather here (new england) won't let me flower completely outside. still 13 hrs of light by first frost. this is my first grow and you all, and FAQ have helped me out considerably. i'm going to have to try flowering under cfl's because of costs. i plan on using 10 15w, 2700k cfl's and 2 flouresent tubes with reflectors (will mirrors work?) in my flowering box. will this setup work at all or am i just wasting my time. when should i start molasses????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wall:

Depends on what yield you want to have. You can always flower inside if you have space. The molasses, use that during full flower development. I Have tried the molasses one week before i aim to flush.KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

Hi,

Keep in mind the shock your plants are going to endure when you remove them from the unparalleled rays of the sun and introduce them to the meager CFL. I'm not sure where exactly your grow is, however, could you possibly rig up some sort of tent to cover the plants with that would completely block light? If so, you could then cover them to control how much light they receive.

If not, then it's all your personal preference. In my opinion, most people are in to much of a hurry to flower, giving their plant a month or less of veg. One thing I firmly believe in is a long veg period. I usually have a minimum of two months. This allows for better stem/branch formation, and from what I've seen, produces a more potent and beautiful bud in the end.

i have no problem with vegging them for awhile. i just don't want to go 90% and lose them to an early frost or something stupid. plus it won't stop f#ckin' rainin'. thunderstorms for 5 or 6 more days. i think i'll give them another 6 weeks outside. then transplant into 3gal. leave out for 2wks then bring inside. what you think???
