damn good point there. and as far as the power bill goes maybe you guys should look into the "magnet/meter" theory it seems to work some what but it would require removing the super magnets from a hard drive and some how getting power to them to amp up the magnetism. the only draw back is that it will prolly not work on a digital meter if you have one. but its worth a try just google "hacking your power meter" and you should find it. in the mean time im gonna work on saving up for a couple of 1000w or 600w hps and mh setups. ill keep you guys posted on the shed build and the grow that i produce in it

Thirty is a good number imo. That's approximately 5lbs every 2 months.
I would go with 3 - 600watt hps for flowering. The small ac unit may have to be upgraded to something that can handle humidity. I would definitely consider the TOTAL load you'll be putting on that breaker. Consider running 220 for better efficiency on the lights, but you'll need a lot of power connections for water pumps, fans, co2 & more fans. Plan everything out and run a little extra for expansion.
Leave one extra plug for the radio. Weed loves most reggae & Willie Nelson!

as for hacking your power meter lol, if your local power company figure out that more energy is being drained into your house then the bill is sayin... lets just say they have no problem callin in the dea to check it out.stealin your power is a rather bad idea lol... just my opinion tho...
but then again i didnt completly understand wat your saying but if your tryin to "steal" your power its a very poor decision

no not trying to steal power. this is what im trying to say: The inside of the average meter is metal. Right? In theory what you do is you take a magnet (any magnet will do but magnets removed from an old computer hard drive would work better) and retro fit it with electricity therefore making it stronger then attach it some how to your standard electric meter and it should slow down that little wheel inside that turns in order to tell how many kw per hour you are using. Now i know all of you are going to ask "well what about when the guy comes out to read the meter" the way you solve this is mark on your calender when he comes to read the meter. mine comes anywhere between the 20th and the 25th so during this time remove the magnet. so really im not stealing power. you dont have to cut the lock im not turning the meter upside down or anything. the only way the power company would know that i was tampering with it would be if i cut the lock.
I WAS saying tap electricity. Electricians can do it, its easy as long as you have underground, which most people outside town do.
Either tap it way before your meter, or right at the box if you know somone from power company with the tamper evident box. Not saying its the best idea, I don't have it. Just seen it lots of times. And the amount of electricity is still way too small for power company to notice that its not accounted for. Your bill stays low.

I have a settup in one of my spare bedrooms----and im only using 2 hps ballester , but i got the bulb that has the 2 in 1....vegging white light and the orange budding light this bulb has both in it--i recommend using this since this would save you on more ballesters and light bulbs....in my nice section of the room thats about 12 by 5feet and im growing 42 plants...my point is that you dont need alot of space--a small controlled area is best instead of having tonnes of lights everywhere scattered. Preferably around two walls at least for proper reflection.

Yes, some people do get caught. Smart people do not. If you steal or tamper with the electricity you will increase your odds of getting caught. If you are going to do it just pay the bill. Until Electric companies are given a mandate requiring them to report unusual usage activity (they don't in my state), then you risk little chance of getting caught because of anything besides:
1) you told someone (never do this or brag)
2) You are not using any stealth. Odor and Light control. Noise, what fuckin noise? the guy said he lives in the country (besides my ballast are not that loud)!
Bottom line is 90% of people (neighbors) are not paying you any fucking attention, the other 10% are just looking because they are bored or you did something to piss them off. Don't let them see anything new or sudden after you build your shed, don't move shit at night it's far more suspect than looking like your doing day time chores. Plan all your moves related to your garden activities into a regular cycle that preferably doesn't let others see you as behaving strangely.
I live in VERY close proximity to others, and you can't smell shit from my grow or my harvested buds. On a side note I live in a community where passing by someone's home and catching a wif of ganja smoke is not odd, and the sherriff certainly doesn't have time to fuck with so many pot heads. I guess people that live in bigger cities have bigger risks, but again the guy said he's in the country and that is generally the best place to pull it off, just like me

asher187 I agree with you 100%. I was just putting my word in about the elec tap. I dont honestly recommend it. Agree with everything else you said. Besides 30 plants in almost all states will not get you any jail time. So all you people sayin dea raid my shit and have a nice time in prison..... do you really fucking think DEA is bored enough to raid your little operation ???

I might try 4000w HPS lights, street lights basicly.

sorry homie my power is run on poles i wish i could do that its a nice theory but i think the whole thing about me trying to hack crack or steal power is just a bad idea all together
