Greetings from East Africa,
This is my first post!
I'm debating what seeds to purchase for my first grow. My setup will be indoors. I want to finish 4 female plants with as maximum of a yeild as possible-i'd like 1 oz/plant if possible. I'm choosing a CFL grow because of availability, low temperature, low power consumption, and ease of use. I've listed my setup and seed preferences below. what are your suggestions?
I have bolded questions i'm hoping to get answers on so please be as in depth as possible and please comment!
Space setup:
2'x2' closet grow area lined with mylar/foil
4" inline carbon filter
desk fan for circ.
opened for an hour or so a day to breathe
4x Smart Pots (5 gallon - 12" each)- anyone have experience with these?
Germ station
Light:
1x 125w Grow CFL (overhead- 2700k, 10,000 lumens output)
1x 125w grow CFL (overhead - 6500k, 7,000 lumens output)
2x 125w CFL (overhead- 5500k, 8,000 lumens)
2x 42w CFL placed near bottoms
Nutes/soil:
Potting mix - yet to determine. suggestions?
Perlite (to help drainage)
Fox Farm trio nutes
PH up/down
Seed Options: - this is what is in my cart at Single Seed Centre. I will only grow 4 plants at a time. I have grouped them by growing schedule so plants grouped together would be grown together.
Group 1 (all fem) - would probably grow x2 NL and one of each PE and FCJ.
these apparently have the same harvest schedules so i can grow them together with little extra work. Correct?
x4 Northern Lights (fem) by Nirvana
x3 Pineapple Express (fem) by g13
x2 Fruity chronic Juice (fem) by Delicious
Group 2 (All Auto) will probably grow 2 of each at a time.
x4 NYPD (regular) by Sativa Seedbank
x4 Green-O-Matic (fem) by Green House Seeds
Basically, i think i know what i want but i dont want to overlook anything that could be potentially disasterous for the grow. Have i picked friendly strains for a first-timer? does my setup sound effective? before i buy seeds i want ot make sure i'm getting ones that i will both enjoy growing and smoking. ALL suggestions are welcome.
