Time to top dress?

About 60 days into run

Leaves are starting to look like this in a few spots
The CDLC has shown it the worst

Watering pH 6.3-6.5 til some run off (~1/2 gallon) added some cal mag not even 2ml/gallon

What do you think?

Ocean forest, ewc and added perlite Planned to top dress with more OF and ewc
Not sure if I need to or have to add 444 or 394 at this point.

I am starting to get weight to some of the plants which is pretty nice to see

Temps are pretty mild. High of 73*F. Low maybe 63-65*F at night

They look pretty happy - if anything I might be seeing some slightly burnt tips in ur pics in the last post. My guess is you have enough of what you need in the FF with castings already…presuming this is ur first run in that soil. Hopefully you start seeing some more trich production over the next couple of weeks.

How long are the strains ur running supposed to take? 60 days puts you at about 8.5 wks, so IMO top dressing now wouldn’t have much effect over the next couple of weeks, takes some time for it to become available to the plant.
 
Nice. Thank you. Yeah I’m hoping to see some bulking happening soon. Just wasn’t sure if they’d need more nutrition before that happens

First run ever in FF And I also added some 444 in the initial mix probably less than 1/2 recommended
But for now. Just pH water and those few doses of CalMg.
Oh and some Great White mixed into water too a few times already. Dunno if it helps any

These are FastBuds strawberry pie. And 3 mephistos. Double grape. Chem de la chem and forum stomper. I’ve heard of some of those running 100 days lol

That bulking requires lots of K. Looks like they want a touch more calcium and potassium.

Just added some ffof ewc perlite and 394 to the top. Maybe only a table spoon heavy of the 394
There’s this purple perimeter showing and also this other discoloration
Watering with some CalMg at a good strength too

Can you over some CalMg?

What you top dressed is good....a tablespoon of 394 per gallon of medium is fine but if your auto is a very light feeder, I think you made the right call. That will come with experience. As far as autos going 100days, the last two Mephisto freebies I ran went 95 days and I would have like to go another week atleast but I had a couple issues. Don't go by a calendar or breeder timeline. The plant is finished when it is finished.

Yeah I’m about 1/3rd that 394 with 1 tablespoon in 3.6gal

And yeah the other ones seem to be doing alright with what they have available now. Just some under growth dying back and some random discoloration here and there

The stuff happening on top though got me wondering..

Yeah I still don’t even know how to correctly count days with these. I put them into wet paper towels on 10/31 so is that 60 days today? Do days start when you have some “true leaves”. Which I think are the first set with 3 points on them?
When do “flower days” start? As soon as a pistol pops?

I know now not to expect or listen to the breeders rec on time only the qualities of the beans and depending who you go with it seems can be a toss up too.. liking these mephistos and that one FastBuds is growing like a champ with a ton of purple early on

I see other autos and people saying like day 60 for example and they’ve got some nice looking flower on it already.. maybe not the same 60 days as me?
 
There are a couple ways to interpret breeder timelines - by flowering time or seed to harvest. Sometimes they are unclear it seems.

Day 1 is when it first pops out of the soil. I count day 1 of flowering with autos when the pistils begin forming up with that bright green color. I typically see this around 21-26 days from day 1 of coming out the soil. But then some people do not count that as flowering, they keep the transition period separate and start to count flowering like 3 weeks later...which could add 3 weeks to the breeder timeline depending on how they listed it. So it is all up to you and what works for you.

You can up your calmag a little to 5ml per gallon, you don't need to water to run off in soil with dry amendments. Saturate the whole pot and let it sit in the run off for a bit to make sure it has pulled it all back into the pot. After 30-45min dump whatever is left over and make a note to water that much next time the pot feels extremely light then adjust going forward as the plants needs increase/decrease. Watch new growth for improvement.

That strawberry pie is looking great! Keep doing what you're doing
