Timer Question

Hello everyone

This is my first grow using a timer and im not really sure how to work it. It says to put the arrow on the dial to the present time and to push the segments down for the required on time...but the light and dark spaces on the timer are at 6am to 6pm and vise versa. if i want the lights turned off from 3pm to 3am and on from 3am to 3pm how would it work if the timer has the light on from 6am to 6pm and off from 6pm to 6am?

: ) I would love to have that option...sadly there was no instructions in the package..only thing written on the timer is was i put in the first post, and i cant figure this thing out from just that...if anyone can help me out here..please do so...i can just unplug the light every night until i get the timer working, but i'd really like to use the timer as soon as i can..so if you've successfully used a non digital timer in any of your grows..please help me out...Thank You.

Are there little pieces of plastic that you stick in the outer ring? There is usually four of them and are two different colours.

The only thing that i got with the timer...which was sealed when i got it..was the timer itself. There was no little pieces of any color to put in any slots on the timer..im still open to any input which can be offered. Thank You

The instructions are written on the face of the timer... :hump:

It says "Align timer to correct time" and on the bottom it says "Push segments down for required on time"

You have a bunch of little buttons around the edge of the timer. Moving them controls when the timer turns on and off.

If at first you dont succeed.... RTFM!!!

Dude, it isn't this hard. Just do what it says. Set the time and then push down the segments for the time you want it to work.

that's actually nicer than the timers with the little green and red pieces, I am constantly losing those things some how.

I got 2 of those timers, they have 2 places to put plugs on the side, right, if you slide all the black things up it won't cone on at all, just slide down the black things to turn the timer on, i think each black thing has a 15 min. increment , was looking for a timer that had way less then 15 min. on times, but made due with these
