Timers or no timers thats my question?

Alright i been having problems for some reason with my timer that is hooked up to my air pumps........ i set the time and program it for on and off but when its time to turn them on or off it goes nuts and resests it self.....so i been looking around and read that some people leave there air pumps for there waterfarms, dwc, bubblers, cloners whatever there using there airpumps.......some dont even put there airpumps on timers they run 24/7 and others set up a timer so the pumps are only on durning light hours ............so lets see what does every one think ??????????? airpumps on timers or is there no need for a timer??? Looking forward to hearing whatevery one has to say dont be shy speak up !!

Dude whatever you do do NOT shut off your air pumps. Let them run 24/7 or your plants will run out of oxygen and get bad algae growth

yea you want as much dissolved oxygen as you can at all times..... you need light to grow algea though, you would be growing bactiria and getting root rot if you didnt have an air pump....... the more oxygen in the water you can run a lil warmer res temp aswell
