don't waste money and buy a regular timer!
it is possible to easily modify it by just removing one gear so the steps are 1minute instead of 15min, just find it on youtube (DIY repeat timer), if your timer looks different than the one on a video - don't worry, it most probably have the same gear set inside

I was thinking of putting it on a 24V xformer to open a solenoid with a presssure tank, which should give me the 1 second spray i want.
How exactly is a 1 second spray time ever going to penetrate the root mass failure will come your way........you want highly oxygenated nutrient solution to completely saturate the root mass. Micron size is only used to attach oxygen molecules to your nutrients. There is so much bad information given from idiots.

why do you spend time here if you think atomized aero is bullshit?

Unfortunately what is not understood by some about atomized aero mist is that although the spray period is 1 sec or so, the mist residence time is MUCH longer than that. It circulates through the chamber suspended in the air until the force from the initial spray dissipates and it either hits the roots or the chamber surfaces. Meticulously sealed chambers, perhaps a bottom mounted circulation fan, would greatly improve the air-suspension time of the mist. What needs to be understood is there is a very big difference between TRUE atomizing nozzles and the cheap squirters that are marketed as aeroponic.

Think tantric orgasm vs. pre-ejac.

I often doubt people's statements when they can't even properly structure sentences or spell/use words correctly. Take the negativity elsewhere.

I like the fan idea. I've been curious about using something similar, along with an Icebox (Hydro Innovations) to cool the air in the chamber to 65-68*.
If people can use 6" PVC to make aeroflo replicas, why not use a 6" Icebox exchanger, hooked to a 6" PVC tube, with "rifled" air holes drilled to create
a vortex of cool air which could also rapidly spread atomized solution around the chamber AND potentially blow the root mass around allowing deeper penetration
of the micronized water droplets, helping avoid root rot?

Just an idea I've been pondering.

I like the ideas on how to penetrate the root mass. Lately I've wondered about putting some sort of lattice in the root chamber. Without any medium in aero for roots to support themselves, I'd think gravity would be like a constant lst preventing lateral growth. I'm thinking about experimenting with placing an "umbrella" just under the net pot. As the roots cascade over the umbrella's edge, a cylinder-shaped void will form within which a nozzle may be placed. If sprayed straight up in this void, the mist would be deflected into a torus shape and possibly hitting 360* of hanging roots. I will most likely be using 5 gal buckets for chambers, so I'm imagining the roots forming a curtain all around the bucket's inner wall and leaving an inner cylindrical void for mist to penetrate from the inside out. I'm on a ps3, no way for me to use ms paint; I hope I'm communicating this clearly!
