BRUH... Its just some pre flower. Dont worry. Whats up with that mad purple stem. Shit looks like it came out of a Willy Wonka movie
Ok thanks.

I'm not sure exactly, but the girls went through a rough spot with some really too-wet soil. I'm assuming it's stress from that, or other, problems I've had.

This is my first go, so I'm definitely making all the mistakes up front :)

Thanks!

Stems that purple are a deficiency , look up deficiency chart online. Either that or its cold as shit where you are located. That's what it looks like to me but I am fairly new at this too.

Potentially magnesium or phosphorus deficiency. Quiet a few people that grow sour d have reported it as just normal genetics but that is what I just briefly looked up.

You're fine, those are just pre-flowers, it's not a sign of autoflowering, it's not a problem with your light cycle (Plants pay more attention to the length of the dark period[and if it's getting longer or shorter] than the length of the light period, and 16/8 would be fine even if it was the cycle you were running, if plant's couldn't veg under less than 18 hours of light you couldn't grow weed outdoors in cali, I have plants vegging outdoors right now in ~14 hours of light), it's just something they do when they get old enough to be flipped to flower, which you can do whenever, but they will continue to veg as long as you want them to. All it means is that you know for sure that it's a girl, so congrats. The stem color could be from deficiency or temperature, but it can also just be genetics, so I would look for other signs of deficiency before I try to treat the stems, if everything else is growing great without problems it's probably cold or genetics, neither of which are a real issue.

It is not an autoflower strain.

I'm not at flowering stage, hence why I don't understand why there are buds there.
Sexually maturity of the plant plays a big role in non induced budding , ive had mother plants go into pre flower while on 24 hrs of light , it shouldnt be a problem & you shouldnt need to prune .
