Tiny House

I just started the shiplap pine this morning. First time I've ever used it, I'd have to say its harder to use than tongue and groove.

I'm also using cull board. I bought it because it's three dollars a board cheaper. $8.50 or 5.50

The boards have alot of twist and crack / missing knots but I like the rustic look plus i'm cheap

Not sure they have stores in ny or not but here in ontario habitat for humanity has storefronts that sell donated materials for like 20%.
Half of the stuff is new and the people just ordered to much.
Worth looking into tho

There's a place called the reuse center down here that tears down and recycles old buildings.

I stop there every couple of weeks and browse.

Probably the same kind of thing.
Habitat for humanity is just a big worldwide thing so im not sure if they would have a better selection.
I dont know.
Just trying to help man.
My buddy bought a set of glass sliding patio doors for like 125$ so i know they have great prices.
He built his whole house from donated stuff. His kitchen cabinets were made of six bathroom vanities for like 300$
I think his whole house cost 5k

I'm hoping I can get it finished before winter sets in. I think it would be nice to stay in it for a bit.

I sat down and added up my receipts so far just over $7,500 dollars. I think I'll be close to 10k by the time its all done.
