tiny white bugs everywhere- except under leaves...

My two girls have been flowering for about two weeks now and last night i noticed these little tiny bugs- everywhere.
i had seen a few before and wasnt too concerned but now the entire surface of the soil is crawling with them. They dont seem as concerned with my plants but there are still a few i see on the stems and such.
They are no bigger than 1 or 2mm, white, roundish, they dont seem to have wings or jump or fly, just crawl. i havent seen any black spots under the leaves and no tiny little brown munch holes, no silvery spots, no cobwebs or anything like that- just lots of tiny little bugs. some leaves look a little chomped on but not in any way ive read about...
any help on what these guys are?

so the description i gave was of what i saw last night before turning the lights off; i wake up and this morning theyre pretty much gone. i almost though i was trippin but i did see a few on some soil. super weird- in 12 hours what seemed to be a huge colony skipped town...
i'm not complainin tho

Can`t tell you what they are,but i would put money on that they haven`t gone.. more likely during lights out they go under the soil (or some other hidey hole) and after a few hours of light they`ll be back.

mr funk1 i do believe you are correct. it is now evening again and i just looked and could see several cruisin around. so it does look like these guys hide somewhere all night and come out late in the afternoon. my description of 1-2mm may have been a little big now that i think about it- theyre probably little less than a mm or so.
ive considered goin on a ladybug search but i'm not sure if thatll do any good....

Go get 2 ladybugs, and if it starts munchin on them then you know your solution and few ladybugs should take care of them 5-10. try to get them to all come out because 1 could lay eggs, and turn to 100, then lay more eggs and turn to 1000 etc.

DONT kill them, some of the better potting soils will come with predator mite eggs in the soil, predator mites unlike spider mite eggs can lay dormant for weeks. Your lucky, if they look like little tiny white Pears with long front feeler arms and move really fast, thats them looking for spider mites to eat =D If your garden is free of pests they will all die off from hunger. They can look redish also after eating spider mite babies and eggs.

sounds like you have a fungus gnat problem, they pop up generally after you have watered the plant. They cause root problems. If im right neem oil should be able to take care of them.

fungus gnats are not white so id say its white fly i get them on my pepper plants outside i use organicide witch is sesame oil and fish oil pritty much but i wouldnt use that while inflowering it leaves a film on anything it dries on.

ladybugs are the way to go! i first did the neem oil thing, but once i got my ladybugs havent had any problems at all. they are awesome, they eat zillions of bad predators in their lifetime

so i got a ladybug and he wasnt very happy and just kept flying away. i didnt wanna buy anything special so i just kinda watched to see what happened- since then the little white guys keep coming and going, still only coming out when its moist. another issue has come about with the coming of some new bugs- these I'm pretty sure are aphids as they are silvery, kinda longish and can jump and fly and such. the only way i can think they got into my closet is through me bringin them in there so i guess ya really gotta be careful about bringin in bugs. they havent really messed anything up and i'm close to harvesting so i'm not too worried but yea, next time i will definately watch out

i have them too, they didn't appear until late in flowering. its so good not to be alone, i've been at this screen for so long. i too noticed that just a little water on the soil brings them up and runnin around. bfn chas

It sounds like root aphids with out any pictures it's hard to confirm. Not good if it is.
