Tip for using chemical nutes with Promix HP

This is my experience growing with it so far, I've had nothing but good results when i got it right and my plants had no deficiencies and problems throughout the whole grow so to anyone that wants to use my experience as a reference here you go!

I'm using an LED / cob mix that has UV/IR mixed, grow room is 30-40 humidity on average (50 in veg) and 20-26 Celsius.

Watering with a ph of 5.8-6.2 seems best!

- When transplanting from red cup to a 3 gallon pot i gave a watering of 300 ppm of nutes with 10-20% runoff, be patient until the next water and feel how heavy your pot is vs the top soil because it is more likely to feel wet even when the medium is dry when the plant doesn't have a full root system. I waited 6-8 days after transplant and topping to water, many people will do the mistake of thinking thats too long but soon enough you'll have a root system and 4-5 days should be the max you'll wait before the pot feels light as a feather almost.

-When the pots feel very light and it seems like a good time to water i had better results waiting an extra day just to make sure, I've had many experiences with even missing a day thinking i messed up the root system but the plants never showed signs of under/over watering until the end of their cycle in flowering.

-Use nutes every water (Less is more!) start with 1-1-1 for veg and go towards 3-2-2 for flower depending on your preference you an also stick to 1-1-1 for flower. I water with 20-30% recommended dose every second water and give them 10-20% the other days, I've experimented with upping the dose and keeping it the same everyday and thats when i got the smallest signs of nute burn which was so minor and took care of right away that it didn't slow down any growth luckily.

-Watch for nute burn closely after watering, i use advanced nutes and consider 500 ppm a high dose in late flower using my method since there is always nutes available from the watering of 200-350 done regularly, every strain is different you might have 2 the same size and one will take in a lot more nutes than the other being more prone to nute burn.

-Check your runoff if you run into problems and are in mid flower, near the end of flower you could add a few drops of nutes up to 150 ppm phed right and don't even need to do a big flush like others say! I had 850 ppm runoff and did 4 waterings with a 4-5 day wait period until my 3 gallon pot was dry enough to water again (2.5-3 weeks) with 100 ppm of 1-1-1 advanced nutes added to my tap water which was 150ppm total and went for a 20-30% runoff, by the last water i got down to 300 ppm and the leaves were purple and most of the chlorophyll was all gone! If you want to go even further start it earlier but it might result in a little yield loss along with this method too but i find its easy and makes sure your plant stays unstressed throughout the flush process!

My result was a terp filled plant with healthy purple potent buds that stink up the whole house when i open the jars, the smoke is very smooth for even 300 ppm runoff on harvest with pure white ashes!

Things i will try for next grow

Adding extra perlite to my medium

Fabric pots

Flush with extra water and try to get my ppm down to 100-150 to see the difference, so far the smoke is great and no complaints even from my picky smoker buds who only smoke the best!

I harvested the purple one early but it was at its peak for THC, tastes incredible smoking it now.

Have this one still growing, needs another week or 2. Still getting fatter and now she has the 100 watt light all to herself!

Not bad for 50 watts per plant, although the last 2 weeks this one has been taking in all the watts.

The buds are crazy huge, from looking at lots of other 100 watt LED grows i didn't think i'd get massive buds like this my first grow.

Now's a good time to add that crucial 25% perlite

good luck
