Taking pics under natural light can be a pain, if not impossible sometimes. So I've had to learn how to take pics in the grow area, while the lights are on.

This pic is taken in Macro mode, full zoom, HPS and MH lights. Sucks, doesn't it.IMGP9093.jpg

Same as above, but with flash, still sucksIMGP9094.jpg

Here's the trick....reduce the exposure until you get the pic you want. Took my camera 4 incriment changes.

Then I crop to see the trichs.

Hope this helps.

Have fun growing:weed:

I have found that quickly taking pics, without letting my camera readjust for the lights helps. out of 5 pics, ill get a couple good ones, even under 1k HPS.

Also with my camera it has a setting for kids in bright sunlight... that seems to work fairly good to. play around with camera settings, youll find something that will work.

I just turn off my light and let my camera do its thing with flash and the pictures come out fine for me.

When you say reduce the exposure, do you mean the s on the camera? Are you still using the flash? I'm going to try using the action setting on mine. Thanks for the tips.

Hi warble. - Turns out I'm adjusting the Aperture Priority mode (AV), the reduced aperture and the increased ligh (yes I use the flash too), seem to balance.

I use the action setting too sometimes (fan blowing, unsteady hand etc.), makes a nice sharp pic.
