I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for flowering, things I should avoid , things that help with flower, just any advice because it's my first time flowering and i want to do it right and not kill the plant

I like to run mh for first 2 weeks of flower keep nodes nice and close I also feed grow nuts for first 2 weeks .. then I switch to hps .. and flower nuts..
chop off all lower shit branches that r never gonna be more then popcorn buds this will put more into ur big colas

I use molasses and do some leaf tucking I know guys who swear by defoliation to expose buds but unless it's wilted I won't remove it. Also I tie my plants down to allow better light penatration really simple poke some holes in the top of your pot and use string to spread it out. Also use a full line nutrient pack like cyco, or Rx green solutions, or even General organics go box which contains everything from Cal mag to bud booster. Good luck my friend.
