Looking amazing Kriegs. I would suggest growing less numbers for more quality than quantity. I had real good success with Afghan Goo. That plant is a beast of a plant definitely the most vigorous plant Ive seen. Most likely around 9-10 weeks she will be at her finest, best of luck.

Thanks, TWD... I wasn't really serious about the 48 plants per se, then realized duh.. that'd be a major violation of my cert.. so forget that.

Thanks for the strain suggestion.. I hadn't heard of it; what seedbank do you get it from?

Speaking of luck, we had a nice long, cold power outage yesterday - great!! Fortunately, it hit around 2 hours ahead of their usual bedtime; not too weird (if you set aside the fact it got down to 38 degree in the house). I'll just put em' back on their usual cycle today; keep an extra eye out for balls.

i feel your pain on the power outage, scary shit. seems like they should be ok though!
No shit, man.. 4 weeks flowering is kind of a natural hermie time, too. They sure don't look any worse for wear at the moment. They didn't seem one bit bothered by spending a night at 38 degrees; not that I'm recommending that..:bigjoint:

She's still coming along (pics 1-3); the s-skunks, too (pics 4-6). Had to leave town for three days and dang it, wouldn't you know that they all got a little hungry over that time. Came home to some new yellowing leaves on all the plants. I gave the big girl a full dose of 7-9-5 Liquid Grow, and the s-skunks a full dose of 9-3-6 Foliage Pro. These are full "maintenance" doses; they may need more. I'm still spooked off by last year's over-nute issues - I hate that claw-leaf shit with spots a lot more than running on the edge of too few nutes.

The s-skunks are going into stretch - put on 6" in those three days; they're at 19" now; Saturday will be 4 weeks from seed for them. Starting to develop some buds, too, as opposed to scatttered single flowers. The big girl has leveled off, but still adding 3/4" a day.

Checked runoff pH today -- 6.5s all around. Doesn't seem to be any fallout from the power outage and cold night last weekend.

The last two pic's show the bud I seeded, and a non-seeded one by comparison. The bud swell has started. Gonna have some monster-ass seeds for next year, too.

Kriegs, whats up, bro? Just wanted to stop in to say, hello! Looks like the ladies are coming along nicely now! How many fems did you end up with? I'm finally getting the rest of my shit dried. Perpetual harvest works, but its a pain in the ass spreading out all of the work. I'll get you some pics or a link when I get time to upload. Keep up the good work, man. Also, I saw that you went out and got some Dyna-Gro! My man! Keeping it simple w/ some REAL nutrients;) Btw, 38 F is pretty damn cold, man. They'll be fine, as you already know, but it will stop growth during that time. If you have a space heater and a timer... Helps for temporary situations. ANyway, take care. Cheers, dak :joint:

Thanks, bro - my picture-taking is getting better. Doesn't hurt to have some sugar to show, but I'm usually the guy who takes what he thinks is a great picture, then discovers the empty Dorito bag or other shitty background after the fact. The beans in there are about 5X as big as the original seeds - I imagine they'll tighten down a bit when they mature. But, they'll still be way bigger than the originals.

Thanks for stopping in. I've got three fems in there -- the one bubblelicious from the first batch of 6 (yes, 1 out of 6..), then 2 out of the 4 superskunks I started from seed under 12/12 (they're the ones on the edge of the frame in the first pic). They're going crazy -- a little lanky, but pretty satisfying considering that they didn't get a real veg period.

I love the Dyna Gro stuff so far. So many nutes still have a heavy urea fraction in them, which I've come to dislike greatly. A couple weeks ago when I was trying to arrest the N deficiency, I ended up getting a few very tiny burned tips. That was a pisser - having a plant with an N deficiency getting burned by N at the same time!! I pin that directly on the accumulation of urea, which didn't do shit to arrest the deficiency. Think about it in nature -- how many plants do you see growing under places where birds accumulate and shit (ie. add urea) like crazy? Zero.

The bottoms of the superskunks got a little yellow while I was away. We'll see how well the FoliagePro does turning that around.

I do have a space heater, but that needs power, too! What I really need is a generator. I have a few neighbors with them; I'd fit right in.

Love to see some pic's of your buds when you have a mind. Take care...

(should of titled that "28 days 12/12 fr seed superskunks"

Time for a little upgrade to the situation.

I really had intended to let those superskunks ride it out in the one-gal pots. I didn't think they'd do quite this well under 12/12 from seed. "Okay" would have been great.

But they've been tearing it up, but looking a little N-deprived too. And the moisture level goes up and down a lot with a 2-foot plant in a small pot. So, what the heck - put em in a 3-gal with some fresh soil. Now, I know the ideal is to transplant right before budding but, hell.. I saw way more downside in those little dead pots. They wanna be legit. This is my first time trying the new MG potting soil - the "improved 6 month" variety. It does look nicer, I'll say that; a little less coarse bark. Mixed in 1 tbsp per gal of dolomite, mixed well, watered thru a test pot, and got a 6.8 out of it -- good.

I have to say; I really like this strain. Very aggressive, love the smoke, a beautiful plant. The ones that went male in the first batch were poised to be monsters. I'm going to get more of these beans and breed out a nice batch of seed next year.

Here they is.... exactly 4 weeks from emergence today.

I decided "big girl" wasn't much of a name for this plant, so from hereon she's "The Queen". She does rule the room after all.

Here's a few update shots. She's made some progress filling out just the last couple days. The stretch appears officially over - she hasn't put on any height the last couple days, but the top colas have swelled for sure.

I also rejiggered the room today -- got rid of the wood frame (just in the way), and got the superskunks on a little firmer ground. They'll get better light now being more in the "sweet spot". The last shot is a lower cola peeking thru the two 3-gals catching a shaft of light. You can see the calyx swell ramping up as well.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the Queen told me it was okay to pinch a little bud off her, once I promised that I'd just take a little and not get carried away. And hell, her stuff rolls out with about 10-15% amber trichs already...should have something going for it.

Of course, there's not much for body or taste right now, although it was real smooth and pleasant tasting. But yes.. the buzz - very nice. Already got a little balance to it; nice energy and laughing, followed by good mellowness. I can't wait to smoke this for real.

Yeah.. it was a really nice smoke for 5-week bud... got a little residual still.. hah! Boy, 8-10 weeks would be great; that would mean 3-5 left to go. Breeder (Nirvana) says 9-11 wks; usually that means "11" more often than "9", of course :-P

I'm really enjoying the one-plant thing, too. It simplifies some things. If I could have anything back, I would have put her into a 5-gal on that last transplant to really let 'er blow up. And of course, it's a "sorta one-plant grow" with the superskunks making themselves known (did you check out page 15? I upcanned those girls today..).

The king is dead... long live the Queen! (well... not too damn long..)

Well, you could smoke some of your own.. You got a scissors and a microwave, right..? You can search RIU for my patented quick-dry process, too. But hey, I don't want to corrupt you!! Man, gotta admit - a good drunk sounds good right now; I can't touch the stuff anymore, though..:cuss:

Yup - 12/12 from seed. Some ppl pooh-pooh that idea right out of the gate; others suggest that if you have a landrace sativa, or sativa-dom hybrid, you can get good results. I'm with the second camp, so far..

the nuke method, i wish i could partake. in all honesty, i had to quit 3 mo ago, when i lost my job, due to feds, and drug test in a new job. now that im past all that, im making more money than ever, i want to protect my family, i gotta life insurance appointment next week. im 24, so it should be a good deal! after that, there's synthetic piss to get me through those pesky job drug tests. i only smoke on my free time, not at work, why should i get punished for that, right?

i love how ur 12/12 from seed looks, cant wait to see the finish!

Wow... who have figured you were under that kind of scrutiny? And props to you for putting family first and doing the right things. Funny thing is, when I'm growing, I actually have less desire to smoke than usual. Just being around the plants and having them at beck and call fills in for actually smoking... weird, huh?

I think the 12/12's are going to go apeshit in all that fresh space and soil..

Amazing - the superskunks greened up significantly over the course of one day in fresh soil. Didn't seem to spend even two seconds in transplant shock. So there's a lesson - when having an issue in a soil grow, consider transplanting out of it if you can, rather than trying to prod it into place with liquid feed (not dissing the need for feed, just that sometimes, there's an easier way). They've been stretching and budding for about 2 weeks so, yes, you can transplant during flower and produce benefits.

I've also been putting the girls in a sunny window for 3-4 hours during the height of day. Anyone else ever do this? The light just absolutely pegs my light meter, so I know they're not missing out on lumens and, with it still being winter, I figure there's plenty of red spectrum in there. I did this with 2 of my 4 fems last year and the 2 that got window treatments def. produced the most complex high (although, there was a pheno difference too... so can't be sure that was it). Anyway, I love to hear from anyone who has tried this.
