titan for the win.

I am on more third round with a 12 site system and it tits.

I like the looks of the sent. but i aint ever seen one in action and i don't have anyone to order from around here, and for a deal like that i'd either DIY or want a shop to talk shop with..

so until i see more w/ sent. i'd say titan all the way.

unlesss.. your a DIY guy, and my re-built room will be all DIY goodness..

yeah i roll with the titan....never seen the sentinel...i get great results...the only problem i had is being so burnt i forgot to replace the lid after i tested my water....and luckily i only had about 20 gallons in it...cuz it dumped all over the floor! im thinkin of maybe drillin out holes in the side of my res at the top for the drain and flood lines...instead of them goin in the lid

bygym did u ever have ur control bucket kick out and flood your room
no...but i did have one that just plain quit working...i was lucky though cuz i had a spare i bought cuz i was gonna set up a veg room....the store i bought it from replaced it free of charge under warranty.

I think the reason it took a shit was because their directions they come with suck ass. The straight barbed fitting for the fill line that goes into the top of the reservoir has a small 1/8" hole in the side of it, i had my line pushed up too far covering it. Which in turn kept the system recirculating and burned my controller up i believe.

The hole in the side of that fitting needs to be uncovered...i believe it has to do with a vacuum of air in the system.

I made my own set up based off the ebb n gro buckets. I use 2.5 gallon buckets and 3/4 inch lines. Run 15 to 25 buckets on it pretty easy and total cost to build your own complete brain unit buckets 55 gallon res pumps and tubing is about $150

hey nuglet where did you buy your system from
hey man, i got my sentinel system from greners.com it's called the MEF-1 i think. can't remember. the reason i got it over the titan was because i liked the fact that it had a digital timer/controller as opposed to a mechanical one. also, on the cap and titan units they timer/controller is on the control bucket but with the sentinel one you can have it like 10 feet away. i thought that was handy. keeps you from having to lay on the floor to adjust the controller.

also, the sentinel unit is the only one that has the drain for the grow sites on the bottom of the bucket. that was an issue with the cap and titan units. although i think the titan drains a lot better than the cap one does. either way; just seemed more logical.

I did flood my one time but was my own stupid mistake, had the hose inside of brain fastened with a wire tie(i use them almost as much as i use duct tape) anyways it got hooked on the float and caused it to not drain my res. over filled my tent only had like 30 gallons of water and lucky my tent had a 6inch lift and it contained it all.

Current don't have a edge to contain the water if this occurs again but hell, I used to play poker for a living so I like to gamble(grow room has carpet below my tarp and panda plastic floor in a rental house.
