Whitney farms doesnt make unsteamed anymore I bought some and called them about it and they said they use to make some but not anymore. Mine is Whitney farms natural bone meal

They were specifically talking about the upper peninsula in Michigan, but yes, jobs are had to come by if you don't have a skill or trade. Hell, even then, they're hard to come by.

Gladsoned perfect username. I wanted to chime in on this tlo thread. I did it, still do sometimes its better I recommend a few more trashcans full. you have to propagate that soil just like you do plants. I think you will find much healthier and stronger plants. get some great white mycorrhiza to inoculate the soilI use this, cow shit from my uncles farm ,bx promix (50/50 is a good start),large chunk perlite, greensand kelpmeal blood meal bone meal (fish bone worked ok just stinks),soft rock phosphate dr earth is a good one. You dont need very much lime if any as long as your cow shit dont stink If its green or smelly you will need lime. As long as you use teas and dont let it brew longer than 4 days you will be digging it. Dont use that hydro shit or synthetics you will kill the tlo Just add water When I transplanted to bigger pots I found mushrooms on my root balls.

Dr Pecker, you want to use that mycorrhizae only when you transplant. It needs to be in direct contact with the roots. I guess it doesn't hurt to inoculate your soil with it, but that shit is expensive and it really does nothing of benefit unless it's applied directly to the root zone.

I should clarify that. You mix it with water and water rite after you transplant and do like stow said.If you use any synthetic fertilizer you will have to add more because it kills it.calmag will kill it also if you have to use calmag just use very little.

I dont think reusing and reamending that soil was worth it because i fallowed a strict recipe always ended up adding more or less of something than I needed.Now I just put it in the veggie garden. @gladstoned If you make a good recipe cook it, wait two weeks cook another one,keep doing it every two weeks until you have 4 or 5 big trashcans full. That way you can work out of one all the time.

So I'm curious. how well does the Revs soil mix work?

@wingnut70 I did it for awhile and it does work to some extent. Visit grasscity and look at their no til revisited section. Best place to start. I wish I did this first cuz it's what I do now and it's amazing. Also if you go to builasoil.com they have a blog that expains why the revs method doesn't make sense or contradicted itself w some of its amendments! Hth
