Accused killer shot, injured husband in local bar in 1992

By John Grant Emeigh - 07/28/2009

The woman accused of killing a man early Monday was convicted of shooting her former husband 17 years earlier.

Newspaper stories report that Verna Elaine Bell, whose last name was Lemler at the time, pleaded guilty to criminal endangerment in connection with shooting her then-husband, Mark Lemler, on May 3, 1992, in Butte. Mark Lemler survived the shooting.

Bell, who was 29 at the time, was given a five-year suspended sentence.

On Tuesday, Bell, 46, was charged with allegedly shooting and killing Richard G. Hoffmann III.

(See related story on this page.) In May 1992, Bell was arrested for shooting her husband outside the former Fran's Bar at 2051 Harrison Ave., according to newspaper reports. Court papers state that Bell drove to the bar that evening and found her husband sitting outside the bar. She got out of the vehicle, pulled out a 9mm handgun and ordered him to get in the vehicle. As she opened the vehicle door for him, her husband tried to grab the gun from her and was shot.

Mark Lemler was treated at St. James for a gunshot wound to the chest.

Bell was initially charged with attempted deliberate homicide, but she later agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of criminal endangerment.

Chief Deputy County Attorney Samm Cox confirmed Tuesday that Bell was convicted in the 1992 shooting.

Bell remains jailed Tuesday on the recent charge on $250,000 bond.

looking good bro.. really coming along.. are you going to throw all them into flowering at the same time?? or stagger what you put in your flowering room??

i dont know. i got 10 girls deep in flower looking ready at 5weeks now. 8 behind them staggered at every 2 weeks. then all those baby clones as u see, and the 2 moms sittin there. i have number constraints so im sweating to get those 10 big 1's down. they look ready, should i take a few down soon? slip all the clones or most of em right in to bud? veg a few for longer, for new mums? i dont know SS

i think you should pull some of what are ready so that you can get some more into flower.. fill up the flower room with the clones.. and get what you have in the cloner into veg and veg them out until what would be flowered is ready.. that way you can have a little bit of a bumper crop and one not far behind it while you get some good sized girls vegged and start your perpetual on a set schedule..

so u think taking a few out a 5weeks that look close to done is acceptable? im really itching too, i could move those big moms in to replace them with no effort. and like u say throw some of those lil baby clones in 1 gal container and st8 to flower. ive never flowered right from rooting clones, real curious on yield in a small container

if they are 5 weeks i might wait a week or so.. let the smaller clones get a little more growth.. or even transplant them now and let them get over their shock while the flowering girls finish a little more... but yea.. that sounds like a good plan... even if the ones are a little premature they should still be fire smoke.. and to get things going its worth the little sacrafice of doneness this once..

ya bro im taking your advise, wut ill do is wait bout a week, till im in week 6..then take 2-3 out. . restock the room.. wait another week, take 2-3 more out on week 7, and the remaining 4 on week 8. sounds like a plan. thsi grunk i have and pct seem like 45dayers, and wut at day 37 now, they seem ready. they dont get so girthy but have resin in veg , and ridculous in flower

itll give you a good staggered harvest for a while so you dont run low while you finish getting everything up and running the way you want... or at least get your veg room full of plants all the same age for flowering...

Where them flower room pics TM????? Ohh btw check my journal I upgraded setups hahaha  can't wait to get it dialed in and getting some real weight. I await your pics, and damn 6 weeks..... only once right????? next time the full 8-9 right?

:leaf:Peace:leaf:

ya im not sure.. im gonna peep around with a jewlers loop 2night when lights come on..ill snap some pics too.. ya optimally 8weeks, but ya ive got 2 45day strains.. and i need to make room and money..

ok heres the flower room boyz
