TMV... now what? Need expert advise

Being a newbie, didn't recognize the problem until I infected all plants. Tried to take them through to flowering some did okay some did not. Once I realized the depth of the problem I disinfected one room, brought in new clones and within a week and a few days they were also showing signs. discarded altogether about 30 plants. I need to know if there is hope of eradicating the virus completely from my grows. I am now in the process of eliminating all plants in the area before disinfecting again with physan20. I just need to know if this is even possible before I go through the whole process and still have it in my area. I am at my wits end and about to commit suicide!!! I have done extensive research and find that it is very difficult to eradicate. I am not about to believe that once you have it you can not ever grow again. I am looking for success stories from anyone who has had the problem as extensively as I have it and has successfully eliminated it.. Is there anyone out there that can give me hope... I can not move as I did see that one person said they tried everything and nothing worked until they moved completely. Please tell me there is hope... I believe in hope and I believe it can be done. I need details on how to do this.

Not sure what TMV stands for...but you definitely don't have to move. If totally scrubbing your gear and walls/floor doesn't work then you are bringing it in somehow.

Fumigate the room with those fog bombs. Do it right. Wait a week then fog again to catch any late emerging whatevers that the first fogging missed. New containers, new everything.

Agreed on the fogger, would also say.. 20% bleach scrub, wear latex gloves when handling anything infected, cleanroom sanitize all equipment used that's touched those plants... including but not limited to the pH probe, or any other probes that are used. Since it spreads by mechanical transmission... clothing, hands, and tools are the 3 things you need to -make sure- do not get re-introduced into the new crop in any fashion after you eradicate this instance of it, until they've been more than worked through/cleaned/scrubbed, etc.

Figong mentioning reintroduction - remove all shoes before entering, let nobody else handle your gear or go in the room and use the alcohol hand gel like it was free between handling each plant. Good handwashing is the key here but limit anything else coming in. Screw the clones. Grow only from feminized seed. My guess is a clone is how it came home with you.

as far as modern science knows, there is not one scientifically accounted case of TMV in a cannabis plant. you do not have TMV that is not possible. im sorry to say but what ever is wrong with your plants its something else.

seriously there is no CMV that would be world news.

Agreed on this as well.. anything that goes in must be guaranteed 'clean' before it's introduced to any other part of the house. If you had dead plant material on your hands and you touch the counter, although the plant material may not be visible to the naked eye.. TMV will sit dormant in that plant tissue... if touched, then you go into your grow room.. surprise, you get it all over again. Hell, I'd go so far as to bleach every major surface you've touched since it went, including but not limited to doorknob scrub. I may be a bit overboard with it, but if I had the TMV.. would rather handle it all in 1 shot.

TMV or whatever, you have to admit there is a dearth of scholarly articles on anything related to growing or maintaining cannabis due to its illegality nearly everywhere. Without identifying any condition as TMV I can say I have had plants years ago in the wild that exhibited every sign of TMV. I have never had any such problem indoors but would have to venture a guess that certainly there is some virus plaque that would infect cannabis.

There is a CMV, but it's for cucumber.. not cannabis. :D CMV can also affect many types of weeds, so could be a possibility.. off to do some research and see what I can find on this that's more in-depth than a forum post from another set of grow forums.

oh no dont get me wrong ive seen it all bacterial infections, fungal infections viruses and plants that are just fucking crazy. pink mold all types of shit. all recorded for the most part, but TMV is a pretty big problems and they do some serious testing on it, legality or not the information would be out there if it really existed.

but for the most part 9x out of 10 something is fucked up with the soil that causes a plant to get sick best bet is always to replace the soil when you see group symptoms.

do all the research you want:D, but i did a lot of research myself before i starting making that claim. TBH i think the feds make threads like these(and others like they have devices that can measure your electrical usage or megahertz)to get newbs to kill, all thier plants cause it discoloration or malformed. pretty smart if you ask me, but thats where we come in. this shit used to get posted all the time, but every time i saw one i made sure to put an end to it. "making trolls my bitches" you know my motto:D

Was wondering about the pH as pH being off for 1 full crop (same nutes/water/etc) would produce group-like effects.. just thought about that in retrospect and could definitely entertain the idea. Am not ruling out anything else, it's just another idea on the table to work through/sort out as to what's causing it.

okay then it's Hemp Mosaic Virus because it's in hemp instead of tobacco.. It is definitely a virus and definitely spreads quickly, trust me it is a nasty virus and you do not want to come in contact with it... the way I understand it is that it is fairly new to the area and spreading like wildfire!!

nope.. tried everything before I came to the awful realization.. ph fine even used new soil before transplanting each time... flushed, checked nutes.. asked a man of whom I thought was an expert. He came into my grow room to see my plants, walked around, touched my plants... he told me nute burn and to flush (which I already did) and guess what.. two weeks later.. he has the same problem.

yes I believe this to be true because the first sign was in a clone with the signature hook leaf and I had no idea what it was and it disappeared so I ignored it.. wish I knew at that time I would have discarded the whole bunch instead of let it get so bad
