To Air Cool My Light or Not?

Hey I have decided to buy the 4x4 Secret Jardin DR120 II and was wondering whether or not I will need an Air Cooled Hood. The reason I would like to hold off for the hood is because I would like to buy a entire kit digital ballast and Hortilux Super Blue.

Anyways I will have the 4x4 tent with a Hydrofarm 400CFM Inline Fan', and a 1000W HPS the room the tent will be in I can get to 18C 64F probably less.

From experience, should I beable to keep my temps below 75 F 22C?

1. WAy too small of an area for a 1k bulb.
2. Yes, you are absolutely going to need an air cooled hood (and a decent exhaust fan even with the AC hood).
Good call on the digiballast for sure. I would go for a 600 switchable digi ballast. Veg under a cheap GE 400 watt MH then run your 600 MPS.

save money on bulbs and electricity during veg and keep heat down.

1000w = 4x4 of covarge there for your room is NOT way too small for a 1000w actually its PERFECT for a 1000w infact i run a 1000w in a 4x4 tent and it works great........

You are however right about needing it to be aircooled........theres NO way hes going to get away with no aircooling in a 4x4 tent with a 1000w dont try unless you have an A/c unit blasting cool air into your tent you will need it air cooled....
