to cool tube or not to cool tube ? 600W

I hear that cool tubes are great for heat dissipation but that not so great for the little reflector they come with...Anyone have an opinion... Should I go with a cool tube or an air coolable reflector with tempered glass ?...trying to dissipate heat but definetly want the coverage...

Ya you are kinda stuck. You are correct in your heat vs light spread, cant beat a cooltube for keeping temps down but you also cant beat a hood for light spread. Ive used cooltubes and hoods, ultimately I went back to air-cooled hoods and just bought a few big ass vortex fans to help the temps
