To harvest or not to harvest

I have been reading some stuff by mel frank and someone posted me a pic earlier about when to harvest. Most of my plant's trichs are in between clear and milky with no amber. I have 7 plants and plan on letting a little amber happen to them to try both. But what i have read says that clear and translucent are 'peak potency'. so the trichs i am looking at on the plants i want to harvest are like 60/40 milky/clear. Is it time or do ineed to wait a couple of days.

Should i water one last time before i harvest?:joint:

100% cloudy. or just wait till there is some amber showing depends on the kind of high your looking for. cloudy-heady type high- amber-couch lock stone. wait for the clear to go away wait for cloudy/amber trichs. maybe ever 10% amber trichs.

so just let all or MOST of the clear turn milky? i thought amber meant degradation, how does that increase couch-lock. I'm only asking because i just don't know.

to be honest I'm not sure why it increases couch lock. but I would wait for some of them clear trichs to turn cloudy. if you have amber trichs that are amber all the way to the "head" or the trich that will degrade the thc. id harvest when you start to see amber trichs. that's what I'm doing

Good advice so far. Scope out the buds not the leaves, the sugar leaves will be ahead of the buds most of the time.

I have 3 plants each of 2 different strains. What I will do is take one each when the trichs are just getting to all milky. Then the second two plants when some of the sugar leaves show a little amber and the last two when it's 10% amber. I'm going to do this to find out the kind of high I like best.
