Thanks Resin! Only problem is that as you were writing that post, I was busy cutting away with a razor blade!
After I posted that earlier I kept thinking about it and decided that a LIGHT lollipopping would be good. I didn't want to stress the plant too much but it was obvious that there were a lot of lower branches that were leggy and not getting the light they would need to be productive.
My motivation was also to make some clones since I've never tried. So I took off only 5 lower branches and have started my own nerdy little botanical experiment.
I had been doing some reading about using honey in place of rooting products, so I did two clones with rooting gel, two with honey, and one with a 50/50 mix of the two. It's not perfectly scientific but may give some interesting results.
Here's a pic of my evening's work. The honey clone in the top left is a fairly thick branch so I'm curious to see if it roots.
