To mist or not to mist?

First time grower here. My girls are 4 weeks into flower, and there have been some recent issues with some of the leaves...at first thought and probably true i believe there are some nutrient issues...but one thing that came to mind is misting....being a noob all of the mold and mildew talk scared me, and so after my flowers started to show i stopped misting my plants. It seems a natural thing in nature to get wet through rain or even morning dew...my leaves have been dry for about three weeks...could this have anything to do with my problem? What is the proper etiquette for misting plants during the flowering cycle? I really dont want any mold issues.....

Mist in the morning. It will have all day to evaporTe the moisture. Just not before night time. But mist less and less in flowering. Maybe not even at all in the last week or two.

And from what I see it's all lower growth so it's not a huge concern.

could that possible have anything to do with my leaf issues? probably not because its only on the bottom third of the plant? and only on larger fan leaves...it would seem if it were a drying out issue on the surface it would happen to smaller leaves closer to the light first...shit..i guess it is nutes...a noob doesnt want to have nute problems cause I could probably do more damage than good if im not carefull

when we foliar spray it's usually with some form of nutrient or insecticide . I can't think of any benefit from foliar spraying with straight water other than maybe it will kill a stray bug here and there if you hit them good and they drown easy :/
I could be wrong but really see no benefit if you're talking just water.

really? with water? and what does this do?

simulates the natural environment that a plant gets...plants get rained on in nature. plants get morning dew in nature. rain deters bugs like mites. plants live off of water...makes sense that it gets on them. however in an indoor, hot, humid, enclosed environment this can turn into mold or mildew...that is not good...thus the advice to stop at the end of flowering...so that there is not mold or mildew on the precious buds.

if you insist.

i can't believe no1 has told you that your plant has a moderate nitrogen abundance
plain water for a watering or two willl clear it right up

Looks like you got some nute burn in the second pic. Misting with just water will help that.
You got a nice-looking sativa going there and as you know you have a number of weeks
before you start thinking about harvesting. Cut out the nutes completely when you have
about 2 weeks to finish. I mist 2-3 times a day and it has never hurt my plants.

I have never misted my grows. I cannot recommend applying ionic nutes to weed via the foliar route. i will guess that OP used nute solution to mist - those look to me like local burns from nute salts. cn
