To much light?

I was wondering if you can have to much light? I have 2 55w(250) plus 6 42w(150) CFLs for 2 plants, 1 55w and 3 42w per plant in a 3' wide x 20" deep space. would i get a better yield if i just had one plant under that many lights or would that be to much for just one?

i dont think you could ever have too much light, but you can have your plants too close to your lights which can make them either get too hott, or get light bleached. i noticed that if i have my l000watt too close to my babes the middle of the colas lightens in color, just by raising the light you can see them darken up. hope that helped bro happy growing. in my experience buds will allow light to get closer without harming them than the leaves or foliage of the plants

Thanks for all the info. Heat is no problem, i have to fight to keep my heat up right now. If thats the case then i will add the 3 extra lights i have to help... that will give me 9 42w. Just seems like a lot of light but i'm gonna give um hell.....:-)

If u have no heat problems the more light the better i dont think u can ever have to much light its the heat that u gotta worry about

Yeah no worries on the amount of light.
The spectrum of light is what counts.
6500K for veg. anything under for flowering 4100k, 2700k etc.
Heat and air circulation are the other factors.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks into veg right now but when things get moving along I will get some pictures up Should be interesting to see what happens

The suspense is too much LOL. The people Demand PICS LOL, jk Ive been trying to upload pics of my CFL grow for the last 2 days and sometimes it works, and sometimes it dont on the photo uploader
