i was playing around and germanted a few seeds in a fish bowl and after a week i think (wasnt keeping track) a nice baby came 2 life. water and sunlight only! just transplanted her 2 a red drinking cup with a 27w cfl light. im hard on cash and im using wateva i can around the house. any advice i talked my girlfriend in2 the grow so now its time 2 have some fun.

Hey what's up? You should check out the FAQ in the top right hand corner of your screen. Theirs tons of info on everything you will need to grow and a nice section on "DIY" if your on a budget. Look forward to your pics tonight and the rest of your grow.

Yeah it's a pretty fun hobby especially when you get good enough to get some good yield from your plants.

Yeah I'ma have mad fun with this grow so Ima go out and grab a few things I may need. Watering every 3 days. 6 hrs of natural sunlight and about 9 hrs of one 13w cfl 2700k lums total of 15 hrs of light and about 3-4 hrs of darkness. The other 4 hrs I sometime give it extra light or darkness.

I understand that but I see more plant growth from either an extra hr of light or darkness. I think I'm go wit the 18/6 after the 7 day mark which is Sunday

Question? I think one of my plant leaves has a chicken wing. (lol) Is there a reason 2 why one leaf developes slower then the rest? Will post pic's in the a.m. plus she showed signs of new grow. Watered her also looking good I'll say.

still natural and cfl light and about 4 hrs of darkness, watering every 3rd day or as needed but every 3rd day is good so far. but why did one of my plant leaves grow slower then the rest resulting in my chicken wing? any advice pls

3rd day of 12/12 light so I can tell sex. See small signs in between the main stem and the stem holding the fan leaves but 2 small to tell maybe by the end of the week but I think it's a GIRL. Will be re-planting soon cause it grew 1/2" in the pass few days so the cup is limiting the full potintal that I can see. I also added 1 miracle grow plant food spike. Will be uploading pic's soon and any advice will be +rep and well appricated.

Is there a site with pictures of different strains of weed as they sprout? The few other bag seeds I planted sprouted and one looks way different then the one I'm growing now. The bottom 2 leaves and different shape more oval an since these are random bag seeds from different crops so it is what it is at the end I the day.

first off welcome to RIU!

there's no way you'll be able to ID the weed from pics of others you might be able to narrow it down to several thousand strains by smell/taste and appearance id give up on that one.

dont worry about the chicken wing sometimes the scrawniest weird lookin plants come out better than the uniform structured ones. by the time its 2 feet tall you wont even notice it!

the bottom two leaves are generally always oval called cotyledons common in most plants not just weed.
