A 2700K bulb is best suited for the flowering stages. But your question is if it is "OK"... sure, it's OK.

Like I said before, your better off with a higher temp bulb, and maybe one or two more of them.

i said i got a 30 w 6400k aswell but i see that you need around 75 watts a plant and i am in a same fish tank no longer than a ps3 and about 25-30cm high

Get another coulpe of 65k 23w and up, that 85w should do ok for 1 plant in a small insulated space, but its always ok to use both spectrums (27k & 65k) in veg and flower adding more red specturm for veg and blue for flower. With cfls the more light the better, that 85w is nice but spend another $7 on a 4 pack of 26w 65k cfls or better yet you can purchase a 42watter if you live around a walmart or ace hardware. The 27k is hard to come by at store, so i ordered them too, i also used the multi specturum ones.

Let us know what you decide...

Its not about the watts, its about he Lumen or amount of light getting to the fan leavs, thats the plants energy

Higher temp light in a high amount of lumen it great and best for young plants.

If the light temps dont match up, or if the lighting in general is uneven who cares? If its all you got it will better the plants regardless.

So.... more watts doesnt equal more lumens?? Looks like we said the same thing in different ways. Basically On2 you need more watts, lumens, light ect.... Robbie..." its not more watts it lumens"..... you make 1Puff giggle......

Yes i know that But your forgetting about light production 60-70 lumens/watt.. so surely more watts is better the more k.
like a 10w cfl 6400k cant give off more than a 85w cfl 2700k

The "k" you are speaking of is the specturm and there are surtain rays of light needed for veg and flower so yes the the "k" is very important, and local hardware stores carry more of the 65k spectrum cfl light, that why you order your 27k online cause yes wattage and spectrum are very important, you can veg and flower under a 65k spectrum, but you would get the BEST results with the 27k, so in the end its all up to you.....

I was just saying more Lumen becuase regardless of the light the Lumen output is what were looking for, becuase different types of light have higher wattage but less Lumen. I was just making sure not to confuse, in terms of fluorescents yes the higher the wattage the higher the Lumen output. We did basically say the same thing. I was just trying to say it as simplistic as possible.

Glad where all on the same page now though......lol
