Owens, the Democrat, had 49 percent of the vote to 46 percent for Hoffman, who ran on the Conservative Party ticket. Scozzafava, even though she dropped out of the race, and then backed the democrat, had 6 percent. Get that folks? Six percent still voted for the leftist Republican even though she wasn't running. Dumb, no? Had they voted for the conservative, Hoffman would have won instead of Owens. And by the way ... Hoffman entered the race really late and didn't have the time to campaign like the others did. In other words, the results are no mandate for the Democrats.

One of the major reasons, if not THE major reason Hoffman did so well was that he got Sarah Palin's endorsement. Those of you who are discounting the importance of Sarah Palin to the conservative movement, and what that movement means for the future of politics in this country, are making a big mistake.

Man, I can hardly wait for November of 2010.

So Cons, how did that up-state NY thing go for you, LOL. You paraded a raving lunatic conservative, sold out the republican, and guess what, you lost. Signs of things to come??
Results of the gigantic conservative uprising:
Virginia Governor: Bob McDonnell (R) defeats Creigh Deeds (D)

New Jersey Governor: Chris Christie (R) defeats Incumbent Jon Corzine (D)

Your two wins, but republicans, not conservatives

New York Congressional District 23: Bill Owens (D) defeats Doug Hoffman (C)

California Congressional District 10: John Garamendi (D) defeats David Harmer (R)

Maine Referendum: Gay Marriage Law Repealed

Maine Referendum: Expands Medical Marijuana Law

Breckenridge, Colo., Referendum: Legalizes Marijuana Possession

Ohio Referendum: Approves Casinos

New York Mayor: Incumbent Michael Bloomberg (I) defeats Bill Thompson (D)

Detroit Mayor: Incumbent Dave Bing (D)defeats Tom Barrow

Cincinnati Mayor: Incumbent Mark Mallory (D) defeats Brad Wenstrup (R)

Pittsburgh Mayor: Incumbent Luke Ravenstahl (D) defeats Kevin Acklin (I) and Franco Dok Harris (I)

Boston Mayor: Incumbent Thomas Menino (D) defeats Michael Flaherty

Minneapolis Mayor: Incumbent R.T. Rybak (D) defeats 10 challengers

St. Paul Mayor: Incumbent Chris Coleman (D) defeats Eva Ng (R)

Atlanta Mayor: Runoff Next Month Between Mary Norwood and Kasim Reed

Houston Mayor: Runoff Next Month Between Annise Parker and Gene Locke

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these all hard core Democrat States? What is this supposed to prove?

Anyway, thanks for jacking my thread beyond repair.
