My top is just poking through the screen in my SCROG.....just looking for opinions on if I should TOP or FIM....I understand the difference and how to perform the procedure....I just want to know if based on where I am at do you think I should TOP or FIM.....most recent pic is in my avatar even though that top one day later is about 1/4 of the way up from where it is in the pic..tons of pics in my grow journal just click the link...

FIMing is definately the best way to go.. its basically the same idea but with the right execution it could give you much better results

well after looking she has so much new grow right where I would fim her that its too close to do...does that make sense the new growth is filling out around the tip so much..maybe tomorrow if the tip has separated more...

yeah that makes perfect sense..

that new growth thats so compact is the reason why FIMing is so impressive.. all this new growth turns into new shoots instead of just leave sets. (if the FIMing is done properly..)

So what do you really have to do to FIM instead of top - leave like 1/16th of an inch of top left when cutting? I'm pretty sure I FIM'd my previous grow because I had no clue what I was doing!

in a scrog, fimming or topping is not necessary. with a scrog, there is no shortage of growth tips. i don't know if you've seen this, but if you do decide to do either, this pic will be helpful.

I have never used a scrog setup but if you want a detailed guide on fimming and the results of new tip production from using the fimming technique then check out my grow journal.:blsmoke:
