To Top or To Not?!

That is my question. Is it better to top the plants or just have one big cola on top? While I have your attention what exactly is super cropping and when should it be done?

if you have a bunch of short plants right next to each other(sea of Green style)...then i would not top. when you have more space in between plants and fewer plants then i would definetley top them. when topping your plants will bush out more....super cropping: i personally super crop once a week...you take the main center stem/branch and give it a 3/4 twist or untill you hear or feel a little crack or pop. i usually do this right under the top cola or nodes...about 2 to 3 inches down. DONT WORRY the top will lean over and you think you hurt it or ruined it...but what this does is break the cell wall but not paths that nutrients are transferred. 2 to 3 days later or even sooner they will be back to normal and stronger...super cropping makes the stem stronger to support bigger buds. it also somewhat stops the plant from stretching so tall. hope this helps ;)

That was very helpful BuCannabis, is more tops better do you get more any benefits? Because I would rather have one big nug compared to a bunch of small nugs

As BU said, topping slows vertical growth on the main stock and allows for a more bushy plant. Yes, more tops is better, that will give you a higher yield. If you have proper lighting (400w+ HID) setup, id suggest topping, prob 4th node or so, then LST, and scrog. That will give you multiple tops and a yield worth growing 3+ months. Good luck
