To Trim or leaf it alone?

Hello happy farmers!!!

So here's my scenario... I have a few plants growing outdoors. They all got off to a great start, and seem to be super healthy. Until I noticed one night right before watering my "ladies" that one of them seemed to be splashed with some type of liquid. It was too thick to be just water, but it had no scent.
So i watered as if nothing.
The next day when i got up and went to check on them, ( seconds after waking =0) )
in the spots where the leaves had been splashed they were burnt to a yellow color. Now a few days later the spots turned brown and dried up...

What could this be???? There are some cats that live around here. Might they have pissed my plants???

Thanx for reading, and good luck and happy harvests!

Hello,I am having a problem with growing new plants indoors,I use Miracle Grow Potting soil and bottled water,so I believe I am pretty grow in the envorment part, but the problem seems to be when the seedling breaks the surface, its leaves are extremly small and ithe stem looks anorexic and grows perhaps two to three inches REAL fast, then dies!!!!Got any suggestions???Oh yeah,I grow these indoors, they get plenty of sunlight and I let the soil go dry before ther watered again and only with bottled water!
Don't use miracle grow. You might want to stop using bottled water, too; a lot of that stuff has minerals that might be upsetting the nutrient balance - potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium, and some other trace elements. I just use boiled tap water, and I let it sit for a day or 2 before using it.

I am wondering about one plant i have, the stem and branch's are either black, red, or turning either one. i am not sure what to do or think about this plant. anyone got some advice?

Another one i have is about a foot and a half tall i have trimmed the lower branch's and the higher one's are very strong along with the plant overall. I am wondering if i should trim the very top branch off to push the growth of buds, granted i can not tell the gender of the plant yet though it looks and smells to be a female. should i trim the top to push bud growth once i can tell the gender or just let it grown tall?
