No that's too much effort and veg time, especially for autos imo. Just LST. Like this:

The top will keep trying to grow upwards after you tie it down, so you need to keep tightening the tie so the side branches are higher. They should bush out like this:

In that space I'd just let them grow naturally. LST above was to fill out the 2x4 after culling the weaker plants.

I do it all the time... Whatever has been said about autos being stunted by doing things to it,to me it is false... Cant transplant an auto???FALSE!!! Cant top or defoliate an auto???FALSE!!! FRANK is a myth buster!!!

I have transplanted and topped autos, but those look so young, I can't even believe those are 35 days
 
your lights penetrate X amount of canopy
your focus should be to NOT cut off as much as you CANT (double negative.. just try not to cut stuff off especially fans)

this will give u max yield over time in my experience

I use a combo of kelp sprays/drench and 4k spectrum during certain periods of flower to control that stretch. As well as supercropping and lst/topping

I think it is much different with autos which I have limited experience with. But from my experience they really dont like shit cut off of them it just slows em down.

I think someone posted their plants in this thread... I've been pretty high myself lately smoking some of Usefuls' GG4 x CD,so high that I had to sit back and wonder where these 35 day old plants were!!! Im like,"Maybe I forgot where they were...":eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:
