man your plants look beautiful for only 2 weeks. Mines are just under 2 weeks from germinating and look half the size. I followed the directions on the bottle and gave them 1/4 tablespoon per gallon though I might have miscalculated how much water was in the buckets when measuring the nutes. I played it safe tonight and gave both plants 1ml of each nute kind when I topped off the water. I figured this will give them a little push in growing and would be alright since its way under the recommended amount.

Thanks for all the help and advice you have given.

Is the 1/4 Table Spoon per gallon FULL STRENGTH? If so, then you want to provide only 1/4 of that dose per gallon to make up a 1/4 strength solution. After nute burn you want to run straight PH Water for about a week until they recover, then start the 1/4 strength feeding and move up slowly from there.

Good luck with your grow.

Im using general hydroponics flora series and it says to use 1/4 tablespoonper gallon for pre veg which is what I gave. Should I have done 1/16 tablespoon instead? Im new to hydroponics and this is my trial and error run lol. I gave them both almost a week to recover and the yellow was pretty much gone. I gave them VERY light nutes yesterday. 1ml of each nute for the entire 3-4 gallons thats in there. I figured since this is way under the recommended dose it wouldnt do any harm.

Yea I am using the GH FloraMicro and FloraBloom with the Lucas Mix. Since mine are only under CFL's right now, Full Strength is 5ml of Micro and 10ml of Bloom, so I take those numbers and Figure out what a 1/4 of each one is,, and that is what I mix. Right now its a very little amount :)

So I woke up this morning and noticed the brainstorm was getting these weird spots. I thought I noticed them last night but they were really small and I wasnt sure if my eyes were playing tricks. Well this morning the small spots were a tad bigger and I noticed some tanning on the edge of 1 leaf. Anyone know whats the cause of this? I have been researching online and not finding an answer. Im reading it could be anything from lack of calcium, plant needs more nutes altogether, overwatering, or heat damage. Anyone know?

EDIT: Dont worry about they big yellow spot on the round leaf. Thats from nuteburn which has since been fixed.

First thing to check is your PH. We will need to know what that is before you do anything else. Most problems tend to be caused by PH being out of whack and locking out your nutes. Once we know the PH is dialed in, then we work on your feed schedule in order to make sure that they are getting what they need.

Start there and get back to us.

I just checked it and it was 6.3. I guess im going to have to check it every morning when I wake up from now on. It was at 5.8 when I checked it last night before bed. The spots were slightly there and barely noticeable on 1 leaf and that was it, but when I woke up this morning 1 leaf has a slight tan edge while the other leaf has noticable spots. The PPM is between 240-260 after I brought the PH down to 5.8

Yea, that is why I am ditching the DWC, cause you have to monitor constantly. I check it in the morning and the afternoon, just to make sure nothing is going south on me. If you are drifting up, then PH the water down to 5.5 and let it drift up over the next day or so. This way you cover the spectrum of nute uptake. You will need to do this for the next few days in order to see if it has solved your problem. Hopefully the spots will stop getting worse, and the new growth will be healthy, but that's about all you can do for now.

You will also need to stay very aware of your water temp and dont let it get above 72 degrees for the happiest roots.

I have recently switched to Hempy Buckets. That's what the girls I posted earlier are sitting in, and so far, really seem to be happy. I am only watering them every other day, and being in Solo Cups right now, they don't even take that much feeding. I only have to check PH and PPM on watering days, and dont have to monitor water temps.

Well looks like my updates may slow down some. My wife wasn't paying attention and spilled sauce all over my computer. I can post from my phone but don't know if ill be able to add pictures.

Started my girls on the Lucas formula today and gave them fresh water in the dwc. So far they seem to be liking it and nothing out the ordinary

When I changed the water last week my girls loved it but the last 3 days they seem to have stalled in growing. The ams is getting its 4th set of leaves and the BS is getting its 5th. Plants are looking healthy since starting the Lucas formula.

BS: The spots on the BS were there before Lucas formula which seemed to have stopped them from spreading. The original 2 leaves that sprouted seem to be dying though and turning more and more yellow. Plant is growing "lengthy" and the leaves are spreading out.

AMS: no noticeable deficiencies and has a good color to it. Is growing shorter than the BS but more "stockier".

Hey Hey happy growers I came across an old USB keyboard and I can now type from my laptop again lol. I should be able to regularly update my journal from now on. Alot has happened since my last update. The summer heat has spiked up considerably the last weak and my poor babies didnt like it to much and stopped growing for the most part. my BS particularly has developed yellow spots all over and looks so bare compared to the AMS. So I did some work in the room that my tents in and I believe I have fixed the heat problem. I set up an AC unit and as an extra precaution hung a tarp from the ceiling trapping the coolness where the tent is. Room temps went from high 90's to high 70's and the water temp even dropped to mid 70's.

Next hunch I had was my meter wasnt reading correctly and my ph was off. I got some GH tester drops (wasnt even close btw) and woke up the next morning to my plant looking seriously bad and my AMS even looking bad. Stupid me forgot I needed PH7 solution to recalibrate it and havent done so this whole time. I immediately got some PH7 solution and recalibrated my meter. The AMS was 8.4 and the AMS was 8.8 so I adjusted the PH levels and hopefully everything is correct now. Unfortunately im not sure if my brainstorm will make it :( Hopefully I see some improvements when I wake up in the morning.

The roots popped through the bottom of the basket on the AMS plant today. They have a nice white color to them and the plant is looking extra healthy. I snipped some of the fan leaves so more of the plant can get light.

I had a nice detailed post typed up and my computer spazzed and deleted it. Being lazy atm I am just going to give a quick overview of it.

- Been a week since I fixed the temperature and PH problems. The plants have grown better in this last week then they have all month.
- The Brainstorm has once again been resurrected from the dead. For the first time since the seed sprouted it is actually GROWING and with new branches to boot. It is becoming quite bushy and no longer looks like the plant version of a cancer patient.
- Room temps are at a constant 77 everytime I check

Some good news and some bad news. Good news is that the Brainstorm has made some vast improvements over the last week and I couldnt be happier. Bad news is I didnt raise my light enough and think I may have burned the leaves some. That or I have an unknown problem. I am going to let the brainstorm have another week or 2 to grow some more and then I am going to switch over to 12/12. Im kinda excited tbh since the bud where I live isnt anything to write home about. I heard I should give them 36 hours of complete darkness when making the switch so I dont get hermies.

so long story short I am down to 1 plant (ams) which I almost lost as well but was able to save. It is growing quite well but got pretty bad nuteburn when I switched to 12/12 and advanced lucas formula. I ended up giving it a 4 day flush which seemed to stop the nuteburn effects. I am now slowly working my way to advanced lucas and my plant is responding well right now. Flowers are growing in nicely imo. This is my first grow and have nothing to compare it to. All the flowers are like a snow white with a slight hint of green and some orange tips on a few.
