What is the best way to warm up your veggie space?

I when the lights are on the temp is 70-72 degrees..when the lights are off my digital term is reading 62-64...i know that is too cold...how can i raise my temp 5 - 10 degrees?

I am in a basement...humidity is normally 50-55%

Thanks..

The temps are not actually that bad really. Would be like putting them outside in early fall if you live in the northern hemisphere anyway. The only little drawback I could see is the plants not growing as quickly. Don't worry too much about it because the outside ambient temps are going to rise and you may be fighting heat issues within the next month or so.

I am in a basement as well...pics of my grow in my journal....I eliminate this problem at the moment as I am only 10 days into veg and doing 24 hour light.... I have two hid 400w lamps that heat my room perfect at the moment....what light schedule are you running?

I dont think those temps are bad at all. I'm 75 lights on and 62 - 63 lights out.. I try to make sure there is an approx. 10 deg. flux. in lights on/ lights out temps.

I think what you have for lights is ok for veg....the more light the better obviosly but you are fine there I think. The whole light schedule seems to be personal opinion...I have a friend that had great results with 24 so that is why I am trying it first...seems to eliminate stretching and keep them compact and full. The only down fall I see is ppl say 24 hours can increase your odds of males if your seeds arent feminized, I am no scientist but I think everything has a genetic code your male female hermie whatever from start to finish. Hope this helps....any pics by any chance, I am a picture whore...love em...ha

thanks again for replying and i thin i an going to bump up to 24 hours for now...

those temps are not toooo low, but if you wanna raise em i like electric oil heaters, i heated my house all winter with em very cheaply. the have several cylinders of heated oil, and they do the job very well. and are fairly cheap

I'm using 2x 400w HPS in a space that is 3.5' x 5.5'. In veg I leave them on 24 hrs. Temp stayes around 78-81 when on 24hrs. 45% - 55% humidity. On 12/12 is where I fluxuate between approx 75deg lights on and 65deg lights off... I have 3 mothers under 2x 125w compact flo. On for 24 hrs and temp is steady at 78 - 80 deg..
