too early to harvest?

High everyone, I;m fairly new to the site.
This isnt my first grow, but it will be my first time harvesting (i was never able to complete previous grows).

so i've got a sativa dom strain (bag seed from cabo) that's been flowerin 12/12 under 600w of CFL (in a hyro bubbler, rockwool and clay pellets) for almost 8 weeks now and the pistils on the main cola are at least 50% orange/brown, Trich development is decent, i have spotted a few amber heads, but mostly clear- cloudy. (id prefer mostly cloudy over amber).

I began flushing 4 days ago, as i plan to harvest the top half of the plant and let the rest continue for a few weeks.

my concern is weather or not i am harvesting too early, ive heard some sativas can take up to 13-16 weeks.

id appreciate any thoughts, comments, suggestions, concerns.

Agreed that it's too early. You usually want the hairs to begin to recede into the buds. Right now they're sticking straight out for the most part.

Alright, so i added nutes again, and took a popcorn nug from a bottom branch to sample. very nice mellow-headdie, cant wait to try to finished product!

looks good, you could probally get away w/snipping the main cola and any others that are done and leave the rest to finish in about 3 weeks. the rest probally 1- 1.5 months.

Thanks for the advice guys, even since i posted i've noticed further bud growth, guess i was just getting antsy but i'd much rather wait for her to pack on a little more weight.

Little longer i say. You would be suprised what the last two weeks or so does to the plant overall. Some of my plants turned purple in the last few weeks.

Calyxes still have some swelling up to do. I'd give her another 2 weeks, but watch the trichomes because you're not far off.

when would you suggest i start flushing? in relation to time and/or trich. head color

when you see the little hairs start to retract back in and 65% of the hairs have turned i stop using nuts the last two weeks of bloom if you know the strand then you can see how long the bloom is for the plant when 85% of the hairs have changed time to cut there is lots of pics and stuff on here to help search the post and you will find many pics and info on this good luck

I'm using hydro and have another girl that's about 4 weeks in the same bubbler (space is an issue so i don't really have other options i.e. separate water sources), im thinking 2 weeks it may be a bit too long to flush, from what i've read/seen. i was thinking to flush for about a week or so and then go back to regular nutes (i'd like to double harvest) after i take the finished buds.

a week long flush should be fine,

I have a quite abnormal situation with one of mine. My Dinafem Power Kush is at week 8 of flowering under a 600 watt HPS lamp. I checked this morning and she is at 70% to 80% amber --- but only 10% to 20% of the pistils have turned orange yet. The rest are white. They have begun receding and the calyxes are swelling nicely, but it just doesn't have that "finished" look yet. I can't decide whether to harvest by this weekend, or give her one more week and harvest her when I chop her roommates (a Barney's Farm LSD and a Ceres Orange Bud). I don't want her to go TOO long, and the trichomes are already more amber than I would normally allow.

I'd give it at least another week. sounds like it is starting to finish(hairs receding and caylxes swelling )

She's at 63 days (9 weeks) now.
