if you put them out now they will flower. anything you set out from now until may will flower. May will be enough direct sun to stay in veg, sooo depends on what you want to do.

a plant set out today would likely finish on time (8-10 weeks) if you live in the valley

The last frost ended week ago or so.(phx). I am waiting another 4-6 weeks!

42 days until spring begins - April shower bring me flowers!(good way to remember when to plant)

I just took 6 mature plants through that 5 day frost with no ill affects, she is tough to handle it.

things are different here in AZ. our showers usually don't come until July's monsoon season

April will be 100 degrees outside. (so cover up your containers)
Also I put a plant outside last spring on April 21st and it flowered right away, then tried to re-veg until I declared it a loss. April is a bad month because it's on the cusp of daylight transition

If you want to flower outside, you can do it now.
If you want to veg outside, then just wait til may, or start them inside in april and move them in may.

(isn't it spring now? because the groundhog saw no shadow? lol)

I have been growing outdoors in the valley for a few years now. May, June, July and part of August are the only times that I can veg outdoors. Mid August through April plants flower here. I think it really has to do with the intensity of the Sun here and not hours of light.
