Too many plants in tent?

Quick question: Is this tent too crowded?

There are 6 plants in 5 gal buckets in a 4x4x7 tent. Vegged for 4 weeks (some were topped at 3 weeks, others were not). They have been in 12/12 for 3 weeks (they went into 12/12 between 8" tall and 13" tall). Also, after 1 week of flower some of the lower fan leaves were removed along with very few branches (super conservative).

So despite the odds, out of 8 seeds (NOT feminized seeds) that were germinated all 8 turned out female. 2 were tearfully killed after all 8 showed pistils, but now it looks like the original assessment of maybe 4 plants was right, and maybe 2 more need to be killed? It is just very sad because all the plants are beautiful, healthy females that are well into flower. One thing is offing a dude with nanners... 4 females? That's a different story :-(
That being said, its prob better to have 4 healthy plants harvested, than 6 plants in a tent full of mold.

Background info:
Temps: 68-78 F
Humidity: 50-70% (a dehumidifier will be installed to lower RH to 30-50% to prevent mold. It looks like many of the buds are pushed against the wall of the tent - prob not good?).
6x 5 gal buckets
4x4x7 tent
600w cooltube
2x 4" inline fans (one pulls air in from outside, blows thru cooltube, and back outside without mixing with air in tent, the other fan pulls air from inside the tent, thru carbon filter, and outside tent)
1x 12" oscillating fan hanging on ceiling
1x 6" fan hanging from ceiling
1x 6" fan on the floor blowing upward (kinda pulling air in thru passive intake screen, and blowing underside of plants.

So given that the plants are 3 weeks into flower, what would you do? Lower humidity to <50% and leave all 6 for the remaining 5 weeks or more (no idea how long this strain takes to finish)? Or chop 2 and leave 4 in the tent?

I use 4 x 4 x 7 tents too and I've found that 5 plants per tent is plenty. Make sure you are moving air in and out. 600W is perfect for your grow! Peace

Thanks bird dog! How would you recommend setting up ventilation. Do you think it is enough the way it is? a 4" inline fan dedicated to cooltube and a second 4" inline fan dedicated to pulling air thru carbon filter and out of the tent (and passive air intake)?

These are some options:

1. One exhaust, passive intake: Leave it as is (one fan for light, second fan for exhaust/filtration).
2. One exhaust, one active intake,: Use one 4" inline fan in this configuration: carbon filter --> fan --> light ---> exhaust, and use the second 4" fan to actively blow air INTO the tent.
3. Two exhausts, passive intake: leave one 4" fan the way it is (filter-->fan-->exhaust) then buy a second carbon filter and hook it up to the light (carbon filter --> fan--> light --> exhaust)
4. One more powerful exhaust, passive intake: Take the 2 4" inline fans out and get a single, more powerful 6" fan in this configuration (carbon filter --> fan --> light --> exhaust)

I feel like for the tent size, option 4 is what I most commonly see in pictures (just 1 6" inline fan to filter, cool light, and exhaust air).

I think Option 1 (leaving at is) will probably work. I think the temps are ok, and the only prob with the humidity is that the air outside the tent is humid (which should be fixed with a dehumidifier).
I do like option 3 though. Maybe a little overkill though, having two fans AND two carbon filters in the tent. What do you guys think? Leave it as is, or just get a second filter and re-route the ducts?

Id turn it into a scrog do a good trim tie wht ucan down setup a screen about 4 inches below top of plants then start to 100% fill ur screen chop anything thats under the screen will allow good air flow and u will have a wicked even canopy when u bud and a very very nice yield

Sounds like you have it pretty much under control bro. I also put inline duct fan's inside the port holes in the upper tent and I feed air from the bottom. That way, it passes continuously through the girls. You need more exhaust than input and make sure the air you are brining into your protected tent is cleaned too. Peace bro!
