Hello peeps, just wanted some advice, I'm growing in a 1.2m x 1.2m grow tent, nft hydro, 6" exhausting 600 cfm,5" intake 350 cfm, 12" oscillating fan with a clip fan attached to each of my 600w hps, 3 girls, shiva. The problem is. My bro has the same set up which we harvested last week and a few of the top colas grew what we both termed winkles, they like 2" long new White hairy growth with no crystals, yet colas further away are beautiful and even the bud underneath the winkles are, yielded 26 oz dried and cured the first time, the next time 27 this time they seemed smaller, we harvested this at 7 weeks because we thought they may be herming, though I noticed today on my girls (3 weeks into flower) the grow tips ( of which there is loads) the ones around about the light have a White spot, light leaves and no hair on top, where as all the others are fine. I've done the hand thing and had my lights higher than my bro, but here they are. I was thinking hot spot from light intensity, I've raised them further and intend to get light diffusors, has anybody see/ heard of this? The weed is blindingly good though the winkle growth is shit, I need to eradicate this ASAP! Please give advice. Temps between 75/85f day 55/65f night with heater on. Help me unravel this please. Sorry if this is rather long winded, worried, INDEED! Thank you

pictures would be nice, but yea do sounds like it, move the light away or the plant down or tie the bud that is close a bit down/away ..

about the buds that keep growing (agin pics would be nice) could be fox tailing ?

if they have high temps as it seems like (85F) and strong light/heat at the top grow, they can be stressed in to fox tailing
(do some research here please, some stavia plants do it natural)

As said the rest pod up beautifully, so keep light high and get light spreaders, if they continue I'll try to post pics, I'm using a iPad and am not too sure how so I'll work on that .thank you. Sorry I posted thread twice, div I am.lol. Thanks again I feel better now, thought my plants were inherent mongrel mutants and was seriously considering a new strain, now I'll see how this goes, I do like how she grows though, very fast!

fox tailing is when the bud keep growing new buds on top of the old bud, so to speak, and make em look like.. well a fox tail (thin and white in the end and oranges and thick near the bottom)

lemesee if I can find a pics (have a similar problem to you, just made the switch from PC to Mac and still struggling like a little kid, well maybe more like a old man)

dunno how clear that is to you ? but agin, some strains, specially stavia will do this on there own nomather what, but most indica schouldnt and is a sign of stress, most common is heat stress ..

some like it some don't some see it as extra bud and use em to make Kif/oil or what ever some think they are annoying as they are not maturing as the "old" bud..

I dont see it as a big deal, had a little this summer, with high temps and it was only like the last few weeks and only gave me a little more bud, did just let the "old" bud mature real good so the mix of em was a nice smoke ..

about the light damages, if that is the case ? don't expect the damages to go away, just make sure you don't see any new ..
