Too much light?

I've got some sprouts going. They sprouted on the 23rd. Anyways I was using a t8 15w but it only produced 750 lumen.. I had 2 6500 23w cfls going also. Today I picked up 2 40w 2700k cfls with a 2600 lumen output each..

I just shut off the t8 and set up the new 40w cfls.. so we have 2 23w 6500s & 2 40w 2700s. Should I just keep the t8 and leave the new 40s off? I'm just worried I'm gonna end up baking them now.

as long as you control the heat you're good. The more light the better, but then again its just a little seedling it doesn't need much light yet.

Control the heat is the priority, good ventilation is as important as lights

Yup, we agree with puta, seedlings don't need much light, your 15 watts is enough for now, just keep on adding more as it grows

My 190 should be here in 10 days at the latest. Running 126w of cfl until then I suppose

Thank you!!

That's a youngin as long as it gets some air movement a t5 is all that is needed. I know nothing about a t8 but that should be fine for now is my guess. After a couple of pairs of leaves appear then I'd think about more light. It's not the lumens that matter the only thing that matters is PAR WATTS. This is true because it only measures the light that can be used by a plant for photosynthesis.

It is not too much light but probably heat stress, good ventilation is needed or just move the light further away from the seedling.

As a wise guy once said 'Don't listen to the bullshit but listen to the legitimate bullshit.' P.S. That guy is definitely not me :p

In the fighting world all an amateur fighter has to do is sign a release saying he is willing to fight a pro fighter and by default he becomes a professional....just saying.
