Too much ph down!!!

So my crop is comming along nice...the PH kept climbing...the GF went to the local hydro store and got a gallon of GH PH down... she put WAAAAY to much in a 25 gallon nute mix and the ass dropped out of the readings... right now the PPMs are 1390( after adding 7 gallons of RO water, they were over 2000... but the PH is still about 1 or 2....I have 2 bad ass aerators in the mix and I read that the air will help raise the PH... what else can I add to the mix to get the reading back to where they need to be and regain the effectiveness of my nutes? thank in advance... MX

Smoke a cigar, use the ashes. Joints do it too but not as high a ph in pot ash, besides tobacco ash will help you repel any uninvited guests. You can also use baking soda, ONLY if you are aiming at 7.

I would keep those ppms in the 1000´s at least for now to help relieve the stress, RO water is your friend. Next time adjust PH separately, THEN add to the mix, do so with nutes too. If you have a circulated system a single fuck up will kill the whole city. I recommend Weeping Willow water once in a while, to me it works like nature's soap, great for bubblers and pumps, root stress, and solution fluctuation in general.

seems like that Baking soda might of done the trick.. now I need to get me PPMs down below 1000...Im guessing about 8-900...:) thanks guys... Grow Room set up to follow...MX

I would have just tossed the reservoir. What's 20 gallons?

Also, I'd never add baking soda to my solution. Just what your plants need... More sodium... and look... Bicarbonates...

Hell, even pH up is Potassium Bicarbonate.

I use DynaGro Pro-Tekt Potassium Silicate as a pH up. It provides a great deal of "Up" and the silicon is beneficial for the plants. You don't want to use more than 3ml per gallon, but I think that as products go that raise your pH this item is fantastic.

I use it too, and love it, for the same reason. Hell, I don't even have to buy 'PH Up' anymore.lol

dxrain the res....start over.....tap water with chlorine still in it woulb be better at this point...2000ppm is insane! Ph that far outta wack.....not good. BIG SWING! Silacate is great for ph up and it strenghtens stems while combatin PW mildew and Bud rot! good luck....drain drain drain.

Sound like a good product will look for it.

By the way I agree that throwing away some gallons of water is better than throwing away some buds of pot.

drain the res and start over. not worth the potential problems of nutes precipitating out of solution and getting your NPK/micros out of whack. hydro can quickly go south. if somethign goes wrong with the mix, start over unless it's minor. but big PH fluctuations down/up using adjusters can/will cause nutrients to bind and precipitate out of the solution. I wouldn't risk my girls over a few $$ in nutes.

if you don't have it already, pick up some Clearex. it is a hydro saviour for when your crop gets locked up (and with those high PPMs, you may see it).

nice :) one suggestion ... use some of that mylar to wrap a 'light box' closer around the plants, it will help concentrate more energy where you want it, to the girls! should help give a little better yield and density

I don't know why you don't get phup, baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, so if you thought you had problems before.....
