If you had to rate breeders on certain things what would you include in your review?

Quality genetics (variant in pheno's, bug/mold/disease resistance, stability etc..)

Germination rates

How long have they been in the buisness

I'm sure there other factors to include, please feel free to add to the list. i'd like to gather some info on breeders and compile a list of known breeders that are worthy of RIU's/my business.

Also feel free to just reply with your personal top 5 or 10 breeders that you stick with! and maybe why you rate them so ~

Smoke/grow reports
How long they've been in business. (shows long term customer satisfaction)

.

Some of these for sure, I didn't put a lot of thought into selection. A couple Canadian picks at the end of the list.

Serious Seeds - gets numbers 1, 2 & 3 so I only need 7 more.
Shantibaba (as Chad said)
Arjan - gotta go in there even though he's disliked by a lot of people.
DJ Short
BOG
Subcool
Dutch Passion
Sensi
Sagamartha
Dr Greenthumb
Peak

if you find 10 top breeders let me know, you can find the top 1000 seed makers, but not top 10 breeders.but shantibabba and serious and tom hill maybe, that is it really, the rest are just doing what you or i can do in our basement.i think the seed industry needs us to think that they are the only ones that are capable of putting pollen on clones.Heck i threw away great plants thinking the holly grail was coming and HT would let me know how to get it,well they let me know were to get it,but it wasn't better then what i had it was worse. But the seed industry is a royal farce,i used to chase genetics until i realized every one has the same stuff, just a different camera and different name.i mean all these fuel scent we now get you can get from sniffing gas then having a hoot,i can guarantee they do not taste like diesel or gas unless you sniffed first, were the hell did that come from. But be aware that a lot of these seed makers know how to use color light and filters as well as great macros. But they all mix and match the same strains,it is just a clusterfuck of the latest hot clone, and when some one is gone trier stuff becomes wanted. So honestly i have read and studied cannabis for months and years and i could not name 10 top breeders.hell i knew hippies 35 years ago doing more breeding then is done to day,but they never called them selves breeders,i think that term is thrown around way to much.so if i have a prize sensi star male and a greasy jack herer or purple urkle female and i mix the 3 im a breeder?no,i know they will be relatively stable because they were all tamed 40 years ago, they all are so inbred that you get the same slight variations as every cross.but pop a bean you brought back from some bush whacker in turkey and breed into that, see how wild that bronc is,that's a ride no ones taking, but a few devoted breeders are some where.the rest is seed making and hype, and plenty of money to be made if you get your name on the cover of the rolling i mean high times, then send 5 copies to your mama. And then let the hype machine take you to the promised land. And yes i have made many many crosses better then many many seeds i bought.and it was not hard at all.but as long as we keep buying the bull they will keep selling it.
