Top Cola Snapped What Will Happen

Will the top cola still grow if I accidentally snapped it to where it almost broke off in half? It's still attached about 2/3....Will It produce two colas now that it happened? I was trying to bruise the stem and I pressed a little too hard...about 3 weeks into flowering....

Repair the break and it should just keep growing. I use gauze and wrap it around the break..

im pretty new at this but from what ive read about topping it sounds like you should just give it a snip whenever it broke to give it a clean cut and then let it grow 2 colas.. may want to wait for a more experianced grower to log on though

It's your choice it will probably heal itself and keep growing it wrap it like stated before

If it's 2/3 on it will heal. Use a breathable tape if needed, like gauze. Basically the first response u got was right on!

That's not a problem. Marijuana plants are pretty resilient. I've busted main branches to the point where just a string was holding it on. I wrapped it with so much as a few band aids and the damn thing just re-attached itself to the plant. That branch actually ended up growing the biggest buds. CRAZY!

as far into flowering as you are, i wouldnt risk topping your plants if you havent already. you said 3 weeks in right?? i mean, from what ive been told, you could still probably get away with it if your plant is still growing pretty fast, but i wouldn't chance it

i wouldnt chance topping it either, if you top it now the plant will put most of its resources into fixing itself rather than into flowering, so you'd prolly just end up with small buds.

So I just snapped off my top cola and paniced and cut it off at the site ! Im five weeks into flowering and am very upset ! What should I do now if anything ?

try to re root ! I'm in Vermont and we've had rain and wind for the past three days went to check on my plants and one of the main branch off the main stem split. I covered it with soil hoping to re root I probably just did my first clone. They are resilent plants. Try to re-root! Good luck

That's about all you can do with that. Dry it, cure it, and smoke it. Depending on whether your plant is a 10-12 week flowering Sativa that wasn't even half way done flowering, or a 8-9 week flowering Indica that was 2/3 of the way done flowering, will determine how high you get from it. MasterNuggets stated "you should just give it a snip whenever it broke to give it a clean cut and then let it grow 2 colas", but we know that once a plant is in the flowering mode it won't reveg and grow another bud site or cola. The rest of the plant will finish up just fine though. Best of luck the rest of the way.
