This thread is for the new and uneducated LED grow light people. This is to help all sift and sort through LED marketing used to sell these fixtures. Let there be your categories for Low end , Medium , and High end. Let this go where it wants to go? Lets help our fellow LED guys out!

In a couple weeks I need another 200 watts or so? I would love to get Area51 new updated Vero29 in a 3K,but they are not available for couple more months I think? So I M gonna go Optic Lighting 200watt Cree CXA3070 3000K 80cri. Then when A51 releases I M gonna pick up 300 or so watts!

I am going COB from now on! Just being able to receive a part in the mail and repair yourself without losing a fixture is the cats ass to me! The optic design is spot on! Area51 will also be a top ranked contender with there Vero 29!

With COB design being put into production. Are companies like Lumigrow , Heliospectra, Cali Lightworks gonna be able to survive with there so called hot spot fixtures!, With single 3 and 5 watt units still in production. Could Lumigrow or Heliospectra get left in the dust by Area51 and Optic Lighting?

Those were the three I was going to pick out quick lol.. Upper echelon?? idk?? If I were Eraserhead I may take offense to them being put in the same category..

But this is 2015 folks.. Being the betting man that I am, I would be willing to put a wager that this will be the year of the commercial COB unit and expanded use of the 315 CMH (don't need to be Nostradamus to make those predictions right??).. I'm piecing together my own Veros so that CMH (not new tech by any means) is looking like it will be the next piece of hardware, but there could be something better by that time (still looking forward to whatever A51 does with that 10w fixture we been drooling over) The rest (lumigrow, heliospectra, CLW) are going to need to up their game to stay competitive..

Or they could team up with Advanced Nutes and have a "grand-master grower" bundle package.. all to be had at the low, low cost of your right testicle.. :spew:

Commercial COB unit is already here! GreenGenes holdin the prototype! In my opinion!
