Topped too early? Advice for future grows

I think i could of let my plants get taller before topping them. I had to force them to flower last week due to running out of horizontal space.

Attached are some pics, let me know your thoughts so I can improve on next grow. I topped at 6 nodes like posts said down to the 4th node...maybe I didn't understand the concept?

I dont top, but the concept as I understand it is to keep the main cola from getting too high, thus maximizing light to all flowers. I'm sure people top other spots for the split and extra bushiness quality though.

I personally like to top multiple times . id let em go normal but height restrictions forced me to top and train. Now I choose to lol. Great looking plants you have there btw !!!
