nar i think your thinking of FIM , supercroping is just where u keep tieing the branches down from as young as 2 weeks so they get nice and bushy

I'm pretty sure that isn't supercropping...

I think you are speaking of low stress training or LST because I know supercropping to be when you intentionally pinch the stems of your plant until you hear a little pop sound where you break your baby a tiny bit which causes them to get stronger and grow bigger, thicker stems, and consequently fatter buds because your plant can carry more weight with thicker stems

I have supercropped many plants but by doing this it can set you back and no matter what anyone one says the supercropping process will stress the plant a little. And i'm not 100% sure this method effects the yeild it is more of a plant training method topping is the way to go if you top the plants at the end of week one this will give you two heads instead of the one.But if you top when you are in veg then again during flowering this will give you 4 colas. But the lights have to be realy close once the plants have been topped because if not the tops always seem to strech after topping if not. There is no dought but topping can be a good way of getting that extra yeild but for some reason i just love the big fat single cola's and to be honest there is not that much differance i weight any how. Most important rule if the plants look good is keep the light has close has possible without stressing the plants it is a thin line but once you master it your yeild will tripple..............................................................tyke..............................................................................

tieing them down is lst low stress training soo your plant's core gets more light supercroppping is were you break the branches to trick the plant into thinking their all tops and topping is when you cut the top leafs off
