topping autoflowering strains

This is my first post enjoying the forum soo far.

Before i start asking for help ill give a lil background. I am a first time grower but have a partner who has grown before helping me i am about to start a grow with 3 autos from the tude seedbank Nirvana bubbleicious auto, GrassOmatic max GOM, and a freebie Delicious seeds Northern Lights. Will be in a closet with 600W HPS good attic fan for ventilation walls in reflective wrapping paper and its about 4ft by 6ft by 8ft high.

I need some advice tho i know i cant clone my autos with any effectiveness ima clone the barney farm liberty haze on my nxt grow tho. But anyway since i cant clone my autos could i still top my autos and end up increasing my yeild? Topping soo i end up with say 4 main colas or does this method not work on autoflowering strains?

Any help will be appreciated in regards to any part of my upcoming grow (maybe a week till seeds are here) i will be doing a journal awell but i will start that when i start germing seeds gonna try to be in depth

have topped Northern Lights autos several times with great results. i belive the trick is to do it early as possible. one i topped at six days old - it was a very fast grower and ended up with 2 colas and great yield and smoke. usually it takes about ten days from germ to get it tall enough to cut. for 2 colas top above the first node above the cotyledon. for 4 colas top above the second node above the cotyledon. Yea ima shoot for 4 colas and top above the second node. May try to clone those as well since i will have three cuttings out of the three plants i know this isnt really gonna give me anything but if i can successfully clone a baby auto and have a lil tiny bush wit 1 bud that would be real cool as a side project
