Topping question

Just wanted to know if some one has any good topping tips.Ive got 8 girls about 45 days in veg w/ a 600 hps. there getting a little to tall and i would like to top off a little before i throw them into flower.I have about 2.5 feet left before they reach the light, but would like to keep them as tall as a can.I'm wondering if i should have topped them sooner,any thoughts?

yes you could top them very early, some people top at like 2 or 3 weeks.
You have time, just flower once the tops are developed a little bit
