hi every one.

a week before i switch to 12 hour on and 12 hour off putting them into flower, i want to top my plants. Would it be possible to us the tops for clones or do they have to be from the actual stem? Andy

Hey bro, I topped my plants when they were in flowering because they hit the CFLS and got burnt so they never fully bloomed, i believe topping in veg mode would stunt growth, just find a place that allows more height ;0

your supposed to top in veg, i would do it 2 weeks before i put it in flower. it will stunt the growth height 4 awhile but it will allow for the lower brnches to grow up to the canopy

the cut will slow growth for a few days but you also want the side branches to have a chance to branch out

top cutting will develop into a beautiful clone. the reason for topping 2 weeks prior is to give the topped plant time to generate the new kolas. they'll grow either way but bigger if allowed to develop a couple weeks. FIM is a better option. more bud in the long run.

I'm growing from seed, meaning, i have to wait 6 weeks before i can cut clones. Does this mean i have to wait 8 weeks in veg before i can flower?

you can flower her anytime depending on what size you wanna end up with. personally i put mine into 12/12 when they reach 9-12". Usually end up with a 3 foot plant depending on strain. I also don;t take my cuttings until they've been in 12/12 for a week or so. The stems are thicker and root faster than the weak, flimsy cuttings from a plant in full veg. Did I mention I use hps from start to finish ???? Yuuup. Gotta MH but HPS makes for a fuller, stronger plant.
